Van Gogh The Starry Night | Oil Painting Study Timelapse
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Timelapse of an oil on canvas full-scale study of Vincent van Gogh's "The Starry Night" from 1889.
I've tried to generally match the original pigments as close as possible. Pigments and differences are noted below (for more detail, ColourLex seems to have the best breakdown colourlex.com/project/van-gog...
- Zinc white (hard to find info on if van Gogh used this white in this painting, but it seems likely)
- Cadmium Yellow (for stars and accents. Van Gogh likely used a few additional colors for the stars: indian yellow, zinc yellow and emerald green)
- Ultramarine Blue (mid range blues in the sky, hills)
- Cobalt blue (additional variation to sky)
- Prussian blue (deepest blue used for tree, dark sky and outlines. Likely van Gogh only used this for the tree and not for the dark blues in other areas)
- Burnt Umber (earthy browns in the foreground)
Songs:
Surreal Forest - Meydän
Rain - Meydän
Pure Water - Meydän
Contemplate the stars - Meydän

This is magnificent!
If i had to chose between the original and your copy i wouldn`t what the original or what the copy is. You`ve done a fantastic job in a short time!
I hope this channel grows and you can focus perfecting Van Gogh style!
Beautiful!!!!
After my infatuation with chess, gotten it into my head to paint this in oil. (Perhaps a prelude to another infatuation with an old hobby.) Thanks for sharing your work and will use this as reference :)
Estou apaixonada por cada detalhe 😍 que pintura perfeitaaa🥰🤩
Tremendous ! I love your work brother!!!!
Magnifique 🙌🎼
Y, very well done! ❤
كم انت مبدع رسمك في غايه الروعه💗💋
🙌🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️❤️ Brilliant!
The one thing that is missing is sgraffito! Vincent used a sgraffito technique to mark-make the swirling patterns in the sky and texture of the trees. Besides that it's an accurate depiction with acrylic paint instead of oils. Very well done.

I have painted it eight times since I'm teaching it. I have tried all different kinds of techniques but I have not heard of that one and I would love to know more about it!
im using this as a tutorial because this one looks the most like the original painting.

Can I color the background blue instead of brown?
Pretty good for only 12 minutes...Imagine what he could paint in a day.

I have a timelapse video on my channel of me building a lugged bicycle frame "in 4 minutes" where somebody commented similarily but he was actually being serious!

I’ve seen better in 12 minutes 🤭
Did you paint it with one brush?
Ciao che pennelli usi??
What underpainting you used?
Fantastic. How long did it take you and did you let the oils dry before moving onto the next layer or did you do it all in one go??

Thanks for watching! The majority of the painting took about three days. I let the darker paint dry until it was slightly tacky before moving on to the yellow and white details.

@@artbyari 👍🏻thank you, again great picture
how long do you finish it?
which brush have you used ?

Three different brushes were used: primary brush strokes were with a round brush (18mm long x 4mm wide), detail was with a filbert (10mm long x 5mm wide), and line work / additional detail was with a worn down round brush (~6mm long x 3mm wide). Thanks for watching!
