Oh my gosh! Thank you for all of your Van DIY videos. My boyfriend used so much of your advice that within a few weeks, we had a solar generator, a refrigerator, a fold up bed, cushions, reflectIX, solar panels and he even took the rear seats out of the back and BOOM! We were on our way from North Carolina to Colorado. If you come to Asheville, NC you have a place to stay and or stealth camp (warning: we have no surfing here).

Hi Eric. Great videos. After using your drawing tool, cut the template out to get the basic shape, then put the template in place and run a big fender washer up against the masking tape on the vans panels with the marker pen in the middle of the washer. The washer will roll against vans panel with the pen in the washers center transferring the vans shape to template for a more accurate cut.

I am starting think I can do this for my 2006 Honda Odyssey EX, but the spare tire is in the rear left corner

Eric, your years of experience are very appreciated! I'm converting a minivan in about a year when I retire and have been looking at so many conversions. I really wasn't interested to make my own until I saw your videos. The premade DIY kits don't match what you have and I agree with your setup. I would like to ask how you set up the water and drain for the sink. I've seen some kits online, but again, not as nice as yours. So, if you have a chance to do that video I would love to see it! Two quick questions - and I apologize if these are already answered in other videos - 1: what type and thickness of wood / plywood did you use for your cabinets? 2: how do you attach the cabinets (and bed, etc) to the van without any modifications or damage to the van? @@kevinriley5847 He attaches it with a screw hole or mount that is already installed in his van. Look like 1/2 inch plywood. He doesn't believe in heavy materials and it has to be easily removable...if it were more than 1/2 inch wood it would be too heavy for some. I think the front panel with cubby designations is 1/4 inch. and a different wood. YT makes everything look bigger...Look at the size of panels mounted for solar setup vs actual plywood in his cabinets vs cabinet fronts...

I've watched many videos on conversions and I do believe yours is the best I've seen so far! Extremely well thought out. Your selfmade tool to measure the contours of your van wall is pure genius! The only thing I will do differently is have my solar panel be able to slide out so that I can have a roof basket mounted over it. I do hope you do a video on how you attached the cabinets to the van.

Can you provide the height, length and depth of your cabinets. They seem bigger in your video. Did you use 3/8 inch plywood for the sides, shelves, top and bottom pieces? Would you recommend the use of 3/4 inch plywood for the face of the cabinets for strength?

I will do a video about material dimensions. 3/4 is very very thick! The better the assembly, the stronger it is, the more you can go thinner...

Eric, I've been watching all of your videos. Thank you for posting them, they are very helpful. I have a 2015 Sienna as well and have started on the bed frame following your instructions. I am a woodworker so I have the tools necessary but simple is the way to go just sand all of the edges as you go. I know you are going to do a video about the kitchen cabinet and I can't wait for it.
