I would love love love if you could make the ocean soundscape at the beginning into a full video so we can just listen to it and be peaceful! :) No but seriously I love the way you incorporate sound into your videos. So pleasant!

You are most welcome! Thank you for watching and being a part of our journey. 🫶🏻 We had many years to think and obsess over this van so it was a long time in the making. The water system in this van threw me for a loop though for sure 😂

We went to Vancouver Island last October. We went north of Nanaimo to start and found all campgrounds closed. Then the rain came in and we went south and found a campground along the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Lots of surfers and one day of no rain. Then the rains came back and we headed back to Washington.

My old home! I was born & raised as were my great- great grandparents & I can’t afford to live there anymore. Rains a lotttttttt & prices are insane there now. Sadly since social media the island has exploded driving many locals off. It’s actually sad & I miss my home.

Hello Scarlet and Seth! I just came about this video. I live on Vancouver Island, Campbell River, I can't imagine you guys are still here, but if you are, it would be great for a meet and greet?!?!?!? Of all the van conversions I have seen, I really really like this one, it would be so fun to see it for reals! But I imagine you've moved on to your next adventure, but if not, hit me up! I have a bakery here in CR and I would for sure send you on your way with full bellies, fridge and pantry =) This would be my anniversary gift to you both, lol, Congrats to 4 years and more to come! A tip for coiling up extension cords is to not use your elbow and just eyeball the size of the loops. This keeps the cord straight and without kinks developing 👍

We actually lived in the town where we were working for 5 months before we left to go anywhere in our first van. Eventually we drove down the east coast of the US. We were both still finishing out the jobs we had at the time but wanted to make the jump into the van and out of our apartments.

I took the ferry once on vacation and it was definitely interesting, seeing this massive ship transport all these vehicles, our trip was a lot less than 2h however.

You can’t van/car/truck camp in or around tofino. Like anywhere. They are actually a really closed off community and even hate the rest of us islanders being around too much. That being said I hope y’all come back someday with your rain gear. It’s such an amazing environment. The rain is lovely when you’re ready for it.

We stayed in a campground outside of Tofino for 4 days and did some surfing out there! It was great but even the campground was $70 a night. Most towns on the island had no overnight ordinances so we only stayed for about 10 days total out there!

We have 90 amps of DC to DC charging! But when we don’t drive much we prefer not to idle the van.

I love your new contect, have you recently upgraded your camera gear? The camera's & lens performance in low light is incredible! I am on a hunt for a new gear, what are your lenses? You filming in dark van, making a morning coffee dropped my jaw LOW! Musy ne sony G masters!

Haha good to know! To be honest we don’t really have any plans to sell this one anytime soon. There really isn’t anything we’d change after living in it for 6 months so it’s pretty perfect for us too I guess. 😅

Love your videos, and you sure do adore your kitties. I’m thinking about going full time van life and bringing my cat along. My one concern is him attacking the seating , and I can see your seats have had a bit of a beating. Do you just put this down to having your kitties on the road with you and don’t get stressed about it?

Yeah, honestly we built this van for them as well as ourselves. We plan to live in it for a long time and honestly don’t mind it too much anymore. It was annoying when it started but it’s a very small price to pay for having them on the road with us all the time. 😊

So far we love it! It drives really well, and has a much better turn radius than the 144 sprinter we used to have. The internal widths is also amazing. We’ve also been really impressed so far with how capable it is off road even being front wheel drive. Not to mention it’s a lot cheaper than the transit/sprinter. 👌🏻

Haha honestly you are so right! I was distracted by talking to the camera and subconsciously did this but watching it back in the edit I realized my mistake!
