Who would’ve thought that living in a van down by the river like Matt Foley would be the in thing to do.

I have a mr heater. It works great. The only thing is it requires a source of oxygen so you’ll have to crack a window. It gets really hot so you’ll need to have 3-4 feet away from everything. Even metal will get hot. I put a water bottle in front of one so I have a warm water to freshen up in the morning

This is adorable, love the kitchen. I would have liked to have seen the bed put away so I could see the full kitchen and lounge space. Seems to have more room than a sprinter van. Still, no bathroom/shower would be a huge problem for me. I guess that’s why I have a camper 😂😂😂

Use your heater kid that’s why you have it! You’ll be fine. Use a carbon monoxide smoke detector alarm as well!

This van is so friggin adorable I can't even stand it lol What an incredible job she's done, it's perfect for a young single person. I'd love for either of my 23 and 18-year-old sons to get into something like this.

I just found your channel. You really seem to be happy with the van life. I'm a little older than you are, worked all my life stressing and working just to pay rent and bills. I'm 7 years now fulltime living in my van AND my cargo trailer that I converted. wished I could show you. However, I love my new life and each day is an adventure. Keep moving on!

I dream of van life at some point. I cook basic meals that I thoroughly enjoy. I'd like an oven for bread and a stove to make pasta. I think both can be run with propane. I see Coleman has a portable stove. I wonder how efficient that is as it looks like just metal sides without insulation. It might pay in the long run to have a more substantial oven that is possibly a permanent appliance in a van. The idea of using a fan in part for exhausting moisture during cooking, its a great idea.

Do your fridge/freezer a favor & defrost your freezer. All that ice build-up could cause trouble for the interior air vents and temperature sensors, which in turn makes your freezer work even harder to function and might ruin the coils. Check the seals; that might be causing the ice build-up. Nice interior set-up!

I so love your van.. only thing I would change is to spend the $ on. High top.. and that’s only because I have my handicapped sister with me… a potty potty and a shower curtain and a paint sprayer and portable folding kitty litter pan works for me… thinking of maybe even a small kiddy’s blow up pool as she has the floor space then she has a bath tub:).. for now we are in a 6’ tuffport on the back of my truck.. love my 4 by 4 abilities

That's beautiful! What did it cost you to remodel?

The couches in many van builds seem kinda boxy and not too comfortable looking. I heard that camp chairs can be very comfortable and I'd look into that. Collapsible would be nice. I wonder how many van lifers have a full lazy boy style recliner. If someone sits much of the day, I can understand investing in such comfort.

Nice bjild. Clean and organized. I'm not a fan of van toilets or showers. The toilets smell and the showers create moisture and mold. Just use your gym membership spa or local YMCA for showering. Camp grounds have showers and so do travel centers. There are numerous options.

I've seen several videos of people who built bathrooms in vans and they say it was a mistake, as it takes up a lot of space and maintenance can be complicated. According to their point of view, toilets are only a good deal for those who have large RVs and stay at campgrounds regularly, so they can deal with the daily waste created in a toilet. Not to mention the humidity...

@@denisegagne9555 YW...I have a class b with a toilet and shower in a wet bath... Its a necessity for my because I wild camp... Digging cat holes gets old and inconvenient... But for those that mostly use their vehicles to live in the city... infrastructure is there alternative

Nice job! I have the same van but put my kitchen at the back, with a drop-down folding tabletop. Also have a Plan B toilet.

Hi! I was just wondering. I have the same oven in my van. How do you bake with no way to regulate the oven temperature? In other words, how do you keep it at any given temperature? Seems like oven just keeps getting hotter and hotter unless I crack the door. Thanks! Mike H.

Smart girl , i know it's all money but its very important to get that window fixed do utube its going to be a way forward and you can do patron for income it will build.

I dont blame you about the bed I would do the same thing unless I had guest and needed seating but if its just you then its for your comfort. Try to keep the ice off your freezer so it does not burn out on you. A hair dryer works wonders and is really fast to melt the ice off just stick your frozen food in the sink while you clear the ice and as you take chunks off sit it in the sink on the food to help keep it cold. Dont fill your gray tank letting it thaw and melt just chunk it out the door and let it melt.

Great video! She's right, you'll get a lot of people trying to tell you, you can't do it, especially if you're a woman and some of the naysayers will be women. I find that people are against if for two reasons; 1. They would be afraid to do it themselves. 2. They are making plans for YOUR life.

Just a thought but you have that large yellow wall Maybe hanging your surfboard on that wall could be handy😊

She is a surfer. The ocean is like a full time bath. Plus there is showers at all the beaches.
