Elvira is Vampira from WISH. Her show was literally supposed to be the new Vampira show. Maila was a producer on the show and didn't agree with the casting - She wanted Lola Felana to play Vampira. When they hired the wrong person anyway, she quit and pulled her name from them (she is the owner of the name, character, and show). So what did they do? Kept the Vampira show EXACTLY as it was and just changed Peterson's stage name from the new Vampira to Elvira.

can anyone give the year and episode this was filmed ?

@crapolaist well it was a Halloween show obviously so that would narrow down the time of the year. That's about it though.

She's correct, it was LITERALLY identical. Maila was the producer on the new Vampira show. She quit because she wanted a different casting choice as the new Vampira. And what did they do? They kept her exact show and just changed the name to Elvira. It's the exact same opening, exact same set, everything. They should've been sued immediately after the show began, not 30 years later. She was/is literally the creator and owner of the character.

You’re full of it ..the only thing in common is that morticia had black hair and a black dress ..morticia wasn’t even a vampire and wasn’t on TV yet …maila added the sexy element,the terrifying aspect and showed everyone how to host a horror show …she came up with almost everything she did her own dress make up the set decoration even the pet spider..you tell me morticia inspired all of that when she was a dead comics character..she took just the color of the hair and the dress that’s all and she even mentioned it once she’s not denying it but ELVIRA never recognized vampira or paid homage she even was the reason she lost a job now you can take a seat

@@rebeccapetty1k390 maybe you should drop the attitude when your wrong and don’t know what the hell your talking about Nurmi admitted she got the job by going to a Halloween party dressed as Morticia from Charles Addams party and met producer then was told she had to alter it slightly so that they wouldn’t get hit with copyright
