Stayed off property at the Drury Plaza to help cut cost for my family. There were three of us. The magic of Disney was missed at the hotel to certain extent but honestly, because we're all adults, we didn't absolutely need the resort theming. The hotel offered complimentary meals, no resort fees, and pretty regular shuttle buses to and from all the parks and Disney Springs. We were able to get early entry to the parks as guests of Drury as well. That was so nice🎉. We saved money on transportation, and food. It was awesome honestly. We spent most of our time at the parks or Disney Springs so it was worth it for us. Can't wait to go back soon.

We were all set on The Drury, especially because of the food and transportation, but then with discounts staying on property was cheaper. This may be because we are looking during the holidays. We will probably do The Drury during the spring! I'm so glad to hear it was positive. The shuttles were okay?

We stayed there i like Drury in general all have the same meal set ups. But issue with this one they should make it better known they don’t offer transportations for any events it’s in small print on bottom. But adult only trip it would be perfect

We stayed at the beginning of September and we actually missed out on a lot of the discounts they were offering especially in August. Shuttles were pretty good for us. Came on time and fairly regularly. I can't really compare to the Disney resort transportation system though because I haven't been to an Official Disney resort hotel...ever lol. My family visited when were really young and we also stayed off property.

Nice! I stay at value on site during the offseason but usually do the same as you when it’s busy. That’s because the 30% off deal makes all star resorts worth it.

This was the BEST comparison of the values I’ve ever seen. The time you dedicated to walking between the all stars was genius. I can’t wait to see the moderates and deluxes. Your videos are always so thoughtful.

Hey Guys! I just got back from one of the most successful Disney trips ever! I owe it all to you. Just to give everyone a little background. Party of 11 all doing LL's! Magic Kingdom on a Monday (9/10 according to crowd reports!) We did MK, Epcot (w/ a Princess lunch) and AK. Seamless! So glad I found this page! Thanks again! The running joke was if one of the family members wanted to criss cross a park I would say "Rob wouldn't like this move......." I told everyone on day one. "If you just trust me, we will get it all done, I have been studying Ear Scouts the last month." Thanks again!

Rob is say it often, but you are without a doubt one of the best Disney Vloggers and certainly the most informative Disney Vloggers. Can you also do this for moderate and deluxe resorts? Cheers Rob! This the is the best analysis of the value resorts that I've seen! I've stayed at Pop, but haven't stayed at AoA yet because we don't need a family suite. Those Little Mermaid rooms are a bit farther away from the skyliner and dining, so I've found it hard to pick AoA. Your review does make me want to give it a try now. I love the expression on the lady at 27:50, she must have been a fan!

I've stayed at Pop in the 70s section (2 weeks ago!) and a Little Mermaid room at AoA and the walk to the Little Mermaid rooms are no joke! Especially at the end of the day! I would pick Pop every time just because of that walk.

Just back from a great stay at Pop Century so this video was fun to watch! I would recommend staying in a skyliner property, love it, so much easier to navigate around. As a couple with no kids we actually felt the value resort rooms fitted what we needed more than a moderate resort which we have always stayed in previously. The amenities were great. Missed having a hot tub haha but other than that it was perfect for us! Top tip- if skyliner stops in Epcot due to weather go to Yacht and Beach or Boardwalk. Shorter less crowded walk and you can get on a bus there.

I always love how you organize the information in your videos and as another comment said, those details about walking times or bus vs skyliner only you think of adding. Don’t doubt yourselves, those are the best little tidbits! Also detailing what happens with the skyliner when it rains, that happened to us last June in Epcot and sure enough we were on the wrong side to get a bus (IG), instead of walking to the front in the pouring rain we took a boat to HS and caught the skyliner when it came back up. Probably took longer but it was a lovely night time boat ride instead of hauling 2 kids trough heavy rain & puddles 😅. Thanks for the vid

Agree with you Rob about the pricing. Our last 3 trips to Disney it was cheaper to stay on property when we factored in parking, resort fees, and the car rental (which we skip on property). Of course you may get more room for the same price off property, but if you dont need the space consider and compare on property for sure! My sister didnt believe me until she really started comparing and is staying on property with me on our next trip

Loved this video! I’ve stayed at Pop, All Star Movies, Art of Animation (little mermaid), plus the Family Suite at All Star Music and the Nemo Suite at Art of Animation and I 100% agree with all your rankings!! I’ve also stayed at Coronado Springs (pre-grand Destino tower), worked at Port Orleans FQ and Riverside, worked and stayed at Old Key West, and my in laws are DVC members at Beach Club. And I will ALWAYS say that art of animation has the BEST Disney theming of any of those resorts. It’s a hill I will die on haha. And now that it has the sky liner it’s even better!

This video was awesome. We've never been to Disney so this helped me a lot. We're going to stay at Pop Century.

We've stayed at Sports before and are doing so again next year. Main reason being the All Star resorts will sometimes share buses and Sports is the first stop. So the bus will never be full for you and you also get off first on the way back.

That’s a great tip. Now that you mention it, I do remember sharing a bus once when we stayed at Sports. I didn’t even realize we were sharing the bus until most of the folks didn’t get off. 😅

Excellent and thorough review! I’m so glad you mentioned that bus service is not available to Epcot and HS from Skyliner resorts… I had no idea and that is definitely a huge factor for people who do not want to ride in the sky! Love the breakdown of different aspects of each resort. I’m also a big fan of AoA, but haven’t been there in years… back when the family suites were brand new and more affordable! I’d love to go back there sometime soon… Thanks for the video!

Love this video Rob! I really wanted to stay at AOA for our upcoming 2024 trip. Mainly because of those amazing pools and the theming- my fave is little mermaid and my sons is the he lion king! but rates wise, we can’t do a family suite at this time and when I saw the distance for the walk from the little mermaid rooms vs taking a preferred room for less a night at pop, pop won. But we will absolutely walk over to see all the cool stuff and take lots of great photos and get some good snacks! I think pop is going to be great and we can’t wait for our first family stay on property!

Have always gone with moderate resorts but decided to bring more family along next year, so we went with multiple Little Mermaid rooms to make it close to our moderate stay rate. I was worried initially about hearing negative things about Art of Animation due to the distance from sky liners etcetera, but I am glad I have booked it for our first Disney trip in 2024 now and I think we will love it! We are staying at carribean for our upcoming visit but wanted to go back for Christmas time next year and was struggling with the price of Caribbean per night around that time but your video made me want to try pop century for that visit. One question tho, have you tried the Murphy bed? Is it comfortable? That’s my main concern

Hi, just thought I’d mention that swan and dolphin have their own buses. We were just at the dolphin in august and for the most part I think you’re fine just taking their buses. I didn’t time our walks but yacht club is the closest Disney hotel to swan and dolphin. We took the yacht club bus coming back from Disney springs because it was super hot and the bay with the swan and dolphin buses was farther away. Also the swan and dolphin buses go to the ticket and transportation center rather than the bus bay at magic kingdom so you have to take the monorail or ferry to magic kingdom. Still our group, two college age with their mother and grandmom, preferred taking dolphin and swan bus to taking the walk back and forth to yacht club. Hope that helps.

With the dropping of some new hotel rates I thought I’d review this report again in connection with a short visit. I’m leaning towards not getting the “free dining” since I’m also leaning towards doing the Hollywood and magic kingdom after hours, the dining isn’t worth it if I have to buy 4 days of park hoppers to get the dining. If I had little kids my decision might have been different. In all ways thanks for you “value” review. For the dates I was looking at movies was same price as music and sports was more expensive cause only preferred rooms were left at sports. I thought I remembered you giving movies a thumbs up but at 76 I don’t always trust my memory. Lol

As someone who has stayed in the All Star Music family suites, it is awesome with multi-generational or multi-child, it is completely worth it.

Dang what a fabulous video. Thank you for all the details. We have stayed at All Star Movies over and over again and we have stayed at Pop Century as well. Both are great. But we've never been to Art of Animation and now you make me want to go. We just got back from Beach Club I spent a ton of money and I really didn't even enjoy it. I'm just upset how my pocketbook is still burning

Pop is always the winner in my book. Transportation is the best out of them. Didn’t have bad experiences at all stars but sometimes the tourist groups put a damper on things. AoA almost shouldn’t even count 😂

Nice video! we are staying at sports in two weeks. I heard that the bus comes first to sports. What is the earliest it comes? what time do you recommend getting out there for early entry? Also, if we stay till a bit past park close, do the busses run a little later to acommodate that?

I was always big on Pop Century, but once they added the Skyliner, it became my "must stay for every single trip going forward" option

My family insists on Pop Century. I would like to try other resorts but get outvoted!😂

I was luck when I was at All Star Movies cause every time I ordered a Burger they made it fresh for me. Of course I had to wait more for it but no complains about it.😊

My friend watched your videos all the time and she said she saw you at Disney in late august!!

I wish this was uploaded a couple of months ago! I booked a hotel near Disney and my experience has been disappointing, even if it was a well known and prestigious Hotel franchise. And I believe I will end up spending more money than if I had just gone straight with an official hotel. I stayed at an official Universal hotel and we enjoyed so much more our time there. Lesson learned. Thank you Rob, thanks to you we've managed to ride all the attractions and even catch some shows. Today we did Rise of the Resistance right after Fantasmic and in only 15 min we were in and out the ride! It was awesome. Thanks a lot 🤩 wish me luck for MNSSHP

I'm staying at All-star Movies. I'm going on my first solo trip to WDW and feel safer staying on property. I don't need to stay anywhere fancy, and I am only at the hotel to sleep. I hope to stay at the 101 Dalmatians building. I have a preferred room.

The braised beef/pot roast at Pop had turned into a BBQ version in June, I hope the regular kind is back now! 🤞

I just got back from dw last week and I stayed at Pop! I’m vegetarian and unfortunately I didn’t try the burger you mentioned but I tried the impossible meat loaf and it was extremely yummy!

Now idk if I should keep my 2 rooms at POP or look for a family suite at AOA for my family of 5 adults 😂😂.

I’m already booked at All Star Music in a few weeks… can I drive to and park at a Skyliner resort all day? Or, am I only allowed to park my car at my booked resort? I think my kids would enjoy a ride on the Skyliner and I’m a fan of saving time!

Another great video filled with excellent info Rob. One question, as I've mentioned we're staying at the Contemporary in January. I understand the parking at the resort is free. However, if we decide to drive our vehicle to say Animal Kingdom, is the price of parking at park included in the price of our stay?

Hi Jim! The last time I checked, it was included, but that was when you were still paying to park after COVID. That policy has changed back to being free parking at the resorts, but I don’t know if they still include the parks. I’ll ask a Cast Member to be sure and let you know. 🕵️‍♂️

@@EarScouts If you are staying at a Disney hotel you don't have to pay for parking at the parks! You can go by car :) I do that frequently because sometimes I find it easier with the stroller and lines for buses...

Odd question but how do you keep your pin badges on your bag straps? I assume you don't use the normal backs or they would dig into your shoulders. I always wonder how you keep the pins on your plain black ears too!

I would love a video dedicated to Caribbean Beach resort since they're suppose to complete remodel before 12/23 this year... I believe? would love to know more.

I'd like to stay at Art of Animation but I do not consider this a value resort anymore. I usually stay at All Star Movies (132)

If you google "Touring plans pop century room finder" you can filter on room type and it shows you exactly where those types of rooms are

We had a great stay at Pop Century - skyliner so fun- except hated the cattle call food court / gift shop. When we were there it was so crowded it was absolute mayhem.

Are Disney Good neighbor hotels offering the same perks as on Property Disney Resorts? Free parking, shuttles,early hours?

One thing you can do is stay within walking distance of Saratoga and you have access to transportation within the bubble, while saving money.

I stayed at AOA last time we were there and loved it however next year Disney have basicallly forced us into POP as we would lose out on around $1,000 worth of free benefits. They excluded the little mermaid rooms from the deal 😢. Pop is still amazing don’t get me wrong.

I had no idea about these resorts, family has always stayed at the Deluxe ones. I'm intrigued to check these out now, thanks for sharing!

Went deluxe on our first trip a few years back. Want to return to WDW more often but need to cut the budget back to make it a more frequent trip. Going to try value resorts (probably AOA) this time and hopefully make it more sustainable.

This video series could get expensive for you 😂. I love it though, so used to seeing you in the parks, it’s nice to see you sharing so many tips about the resorts too! (Love all the food reviews too!! Epcot festivals plus everything else you sprinkle in!)
