Same here. I was really frightened, I thought something was wrong with my sound card. Turning off the Windows Sonic works. Also turned off Voice over Volume as per a comment below. The issue is not there, but it is sort of muffled.

Do you know how to fix this: i used earphone to play valorant.after the update dropped,everything went weird.For example,when there is footsteps on my right side,only my right side earphone picking it up while the left side went completely mute.This never happened in previous patch.Anyone know how to fix this?

Oh mine has the same thing. I think you should try standing in Viper's ultimate and use the odin gun.

lmfaoo i just got my brand new headphones which has dts headphone x support and i was so worried that it didn't work properly. It sounded exactly like this video and now im relieved. Turning the dts off worked for me. Hope they fix this soon.

The solution I found is to deactivate the dialogues in the sound section of the game, the truth is it is a bit strange to play without hearing the characters' dialogues.

just found the fix for this audio glitch- you just have to turn off the MAXBOT LINE option in voice over setting valorant and you are good to go

i nearly opened my headphone to check inside hahaha

Mmhmm same here, thank god I ain’t the only one I thought I was going crazy 😂 guess the update did fuck it up then, idk how to fix it EDIT: from the patch notes: We do not recommend combining the HRTF setting in game with other surround sound virtualization software at the same time since this will result in double processing. My configuration was Dolby Atmos for Headphones + no in-game HRTF. Turning off Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic and turning on the built in HRTF seemed to fix it... so if you're having similar troubles, give it a shot!

@@manthanmahadik597 what i did was -- from the speaker icon from ur bottom right taskbar, right click that then 'spatial sound' to off. then inside valorant enable hrtf from the audio tab. It worked for me but i dont know if this will work for u cuz i aint got dolby
