More! We need more! Would definitely watch the film if you decided to make a documentary. Those 10 minutes of watching it on screen meant so much to those of us who know the story of Pedro Albizu Campos and Puerto Rico. Well done.
As a life long student of my hero, Doctor Pedro Albizu Campos, I love this! Especially the interaction between Albizu and his darling Laura! My new play, "Independence or Death", We focus on their relationship. In our 2005 Commemoration we also focused on a similar decision. And in my film "I Believe in America" we focused on the movement Post Albizu. All I can say to you Mr. Torres is ..."Bravo!" Congratulatuons and continue on this beautiful journey of enlightening the world about the Father of my beloved Puerto Rico!!

My mother, "Abuelita" Jean Wiley (Zwickel) was an aide to Don Pedro, learned Spanish from him and spoke on behalf of Puerto Rican independence before the United Nations Committee on Decolonization. Unfortunately, I think that went above many peoples head. They don’t see enemy. To them it was just a strike. I’m sure most young people of today in Puerto Rico don’t know who he was.

From viewer’s perspective, brilliant acting, script and cinematography. Love the way you set the mood with lighting. From a historical perspective, this is a monumental part of our history that needs to be told. Hope you consider making a full-length movie.
This was made 2 years ago. And 2 years ago I made the decision to come to PR to study at my mother's alma mater. I would be for the first time learning about the island I was born in but didn't have the opportunity to grow up in. The culture, the history, my family and friends. I've learned so much and the island has grown near and dear to my heart like never before. Definitivamente, Puerto Rico no se vende.

I don’t understand why when telling our history of how the United States government treated our ancestors, that the stories/documentary’s are so short. We have watched movies about Che, Chavez, when is Hollywood going to tell our story! Excellent short piece you did, wish it was longer!

Few Puerto Ricans know that the most arrogant and self-centered nation in the world needed the help of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 to gain their independence. Soldiers from Puerto Rico, under the command of Bernardo de Galvez governor of Louisiana, fought for the American Revolution for the independence of the 13 American colonies, and they also fought at Bunker Hill. The 4th of July should be celebrated to Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 QUE VIVA LA REPUBLICA DE PUERTO RICO 🇵🇷

Writing another comment. I must say this was the best short film 🎥 ive think ive ever watched. Thank you so much. Today im in puerto rico saw my great grandfathers grave w the nationalist flag wavering over his site. (Look it up all black flag with a white looming cross) - nationalist flag. This has distilled a new found of life in me to know the real puerto rico and how i can make it better!!

Excelente producción. Siempre me he preguntado, ¿como hubiera cambiado nuestra historia si Don Pedro Albizu Campos se hubiera convertido en el primer gobernador de la isla? Con un hombre con la integridad, la inteligencia y capacidad de Don Pedro, ciertamente nuestra historia seria muy distinta al pillaje y la madeja de corrupción que nos ha arropado desde Luis Muñoz Marin.

I wish they would make a whole long movie about this story.
Sadly, PR is being sold off quickly to non-Puerto Ricans and there is nothing illegal about it but it is a tragedy for us. It will be another Hawaii in 50 years. I know a number of Puerto Rican kids born and raised here NYC. They go to DR and South Beach on vacations. The white folks from the flyover states stopping in Old San Juan know more about PR than our own people born in the states. It's a sad slow death of a beautiful culture.

@@Reydotcom I agree but also think the native Hawaiians never benefitted from there home being invaded, outsiders did, same thing is going to happen to Puerto Rico, so sad that you have half of the population thinking that without aid they will not survive. Something that has been perpetuated for many years.

I was in Ponce Puerto Rico came to the states when I was 5 (1984) had to learn our rich complex history through the book called war against all Puerto ricans by Nelson Antonio Denis to learn the truth wish my familia told me
Don Pedro Albizu Campos a man of true integrity that stuck by his convictions, we have to admire that. “ Puerto Rico no se vende” those of you who want Statehood and want to sell out our Island remember that. I admired this man .Puerto Rico te amó siempre 🇵🇷🩷👍🏼

We as Puerto Ricans need to make a big difference in this island that we live in that is so corrupted. We are not united at all. There's no respect for woman, elderly, and children. You have a bunch of young hoodlums that just don't care about life and the life of others. There is no real leadership in this island its just a damm shame because PR is beautiful island and if we don't come together we will lose what our founding fathers had created for us. God bless Puerto Rico.
