Vallila is one of the northernmost districts in the downtown area. Fun fact: the area was originally used for rearing cattle. Historical wooden blocks can be considered as the soul of Vallila, but there's plenty more. Landmarks in the area include Saint Paul's Church, the Vallila allotment gardens, and the grungy culture center Konepaja.
