I finally finsihed the game, for around $30 CAD (what i got it for) it was a fun game, easy story to follow and alot of info and what not contsined in a 20ish hour game. I got all four endings too, i just need to finish the DLCs.

The story turned out surprisingly okay though a bit cliche, and does not compare to VP1 & VP2. It lacks a top tier villain like Lezard Valeth.

I always wondered how more expanded the story and content would of been if Square actually gave the developers an actual budget. Can see they respected the series (besides J-pop looking Odin), but the game is hollow since they had to go with whole Soulsborne logic of "everyone is dead anyways.". Minor knick pick but given how the Valkyrie series is know for the people of the world and how the Valkyrie interacts with it more than just focusing on her. I know that is what the flowers are for, but you can tell that is more of showing the low budget.

110% agree. Honestly I think the high point of the Valkyrie Series is still Valkyrie Profile 1 and 2. They seemed to have more love for the series back then. But honestly Square seems to only really put money into Fina Fantasy titles these days.

@@ChroniclerofLore Well XIV does make the money. Too bad the president believes NFTs are where the money is at... Just threw me off that Tri-Ace did the new Star Ocean game, but Elysium was done by a studio who had two games under their belt. Granted I heard good things about the Samurai Jack game they did, but felt like Square was setting up the game to die. I say while the last installment was a gacha game.

Odin couldn't leave well enough alone rather than accept his death with dignity he tried with all his might to prevent the inevitable

@@ChroniclerofLore despite his kind demeanor and seemingly good intentions he is the devil and the greatest thing the devil ever did was make you believe that he didn't exist

So disappointing that it seems they are trying to replace Valkyrie Profile with this very similar story. The 3 sisters of fate is a very good part of the original story, Lizard Valet is an amazing character as much the 3 sisters. VE can't compete with VP, just better graphics.
