    Awesome! Please do a tutorial on how to select reverb and delay for vocals. Like when is plate, spring ,delay or room appropriate, or when it is best to combine reverbs, what is the typical reverb length and such. So many reverb tutorials, but not many explain these important concepts.

    Its depends on your taste and how u want to use it. There is no "right" way to use it. It only depends what do YOU want to do with it. Try switching one reverb sound up with another one and find oit for yourself what sounds good to your ears.

    Great video!! This is one of my favorites after the fabfilter pro R! Question: Do you calculate the reverb pre-delay and the decay to the tempo of the music? If so what would be the best way? Thank you for another amazing video and have a great day!

  • @samsmyers

    @samsmyers

    3 жыл бұрын

    I usually adjust the pre-delay by ear. If you want to time it up you can google for a pre-delay calculator and find websites that will help you calculate the ms.

    What's the difference between the damping in the damping section vs. the EQ high cut/ low cut?

  • @Lhurgoyf2Kyu

    @Lhurgoyf2Kyu

    2 жыл бұрын

    The damping section lowers the volume at that frequency and eq high/low cut removes those frequencies. Typical low cut would be everything below 100 Hz as those frequencies tend to create unwanted rumbling in the mix.

  • @George-nx8zu

    The concept of Diffusion kind of confuses me. Is it something like stereo spread in the reverb? Like what does it mean to sound like a "diffused reverb"? And just to clarify- the modulation frequency determines at what frequency the reverb uses as an input signal to trigger the chorus effect?

  • @samsmyers

    @samsmyers

    2 жыл бұрын

    If you turn the diffusion down, then the reverb almost sounds like a delay as the sound echos out. As you turn up the diffusion, then the echo starts to blend together. The modulation frequency relates to how a chorus effect works. A chorus effect uses a LFO to create that wobbly effect and the modulation rate is how quickly the LFO is wobbling...essentially.
