A lot of people don't realize that I wrote & produced the duet version, played all the instruments on it & sang the majority of the vocals. I think due to Peyton Parrish not including my video footage in the music video on his KZread channel (he only included the visuals of himself), people get confused and think it was all him. So, due to it being mostly my work in the first place, there isn't a huge difference in overall sound here but there is a somewhat different feel to the song's mood with just my voice alone. After the events of the last year, I personally prefer it this way and I know a lot of fans will too, as you were the ones who requested this. There's a vid with @thatbass, Gav & Parish, the other two guys play it relatively straight, stoic, they let their voice do the work....Peyton to the far right like a Power Ranger preparing to launch the Megazord. As far as the Christian thing goes, I don't know his personal life but most influencers who openly profess and still perform everything without a clear line in the same usually call themselves Christians for a larger demographic. It's just popular to say, then the next steps going to be a tolerant neutral stance on trending issues. Etc etc.

Gav has released Valhalla Calling almost as many times as Bethesda had released Skyrim. I ain't complaining tho.

Difference being that Gav's songs are finished products that aren't absolute bug fests even a decade later. Or in Fallout 4's case, Bethesda keeps reintroducing old bugs and breaking things.

I am a swedish viking. It is a bit ironic that I hate the sea. It is a deep fear to go down by a kraken or a sea serpent. The fear of the sea is just as deep as the deepest part of the Mariana Trench.

Like a raid in the night on English shores, this came out of nowhere and left nothing behind. Great work Gav!

I have been wanting to see the throat singing on video since the first version with any video of singing. That's the bit that gets the shivers going. Come to think of it, at the end of this song I found myself half expecting to hear a particular group's style... "miracle of sound / the hu" collaboration song would be quite the thing, I think.

Your song not only make my day to listen to, but are consistently one of the few things that'll keep my baby calm and happy, especially the original version of Vahalla (Though 'Purest Gold' and 'Whatever Comes Our Way' are both ones she loves too!) i just recently got to see payton parrish live and was really disappointed to say the least. Never had someone hold a concert with more focus on the opening act than on the actual star of the concert. With no explanation whatsoever. I am really glad to see this version from you its so much better

I’m so very happy that you allowed VoicePlay to cover this. Otherwise I most probably would have missed out on learning about you and the songs you have written. This is SO stirring and wonderfully done, although I admit that I really like the version you did that used the game footage, too. I’m not usually big on ‘metal’. But then, I do not find this version as ‘screamy’ as metal often feels to me. Instead, it is more about the drums and war horn with a true chant vibe to it. Love it and much of your other work as well.
