I love this show because of Valerie and Duff!! I am so disappointed they let her go!! Valerie is so positive in her comments to the kids! And she is such a wonderful person!! I will miss her, and Food Network should reconsider!

Food Network is going nutty. I loved ' Valerie's Home Cooking' but I don't care much for the baking contests; child or adult contestants. So many of my favorite shows only ran for 1 season or were discontinued after many seasons and I don't like that. Anybody remember when she hosted a show similar to Family Feud but the contestants cooked, instead of answering questions? Other shows that I miss, but not connected to Valerie : Out Cheffed, Big Bad Budget Battle and Thanksgiving Challenge, . So many good shows, so many talented people that food network is getting rid of, how sad. 😕🥺 Now that Darnell Ferguson has fallen into serious legal issues, perhaps the network will reconsider firing her. Guy can only host so many shows . Lol !!

I will miss her. She was a delight to have on that show. She was so good to the kids and seemed to love them all and you could tell they loved her too. I’m just sad to see her go.

Kids Baking Championship is 1 of the best shows on Food Network, because Duff & Valerie had awesome chemistry. Valerie was descriptive when judging the sweets. It’s Odd she’s being let go.

How sad! She was certainly the 'mom' and offered heartfelt comfort to these kids who are under incredible pressure to create baked goods.

agree! They tried out another co-host for Halloween, and that gal just didn't have it. Maybe she was an expert baker, but no on screen talent.

Their loss, and the viewers and everyone else involved. But you Valerie will rise once again from the ashes. God bless.❤

Love Valerie, I’m from the U.K. and they do stuff like this over here. So many shows getting rid of presenters and replacing them for no reason. I don't think the show will last long because ppl love her and she brought a positive caring side to the show that ppl love and appreciates.

She’s been one of my favorite performers since, of course, “One Day at a Time.” I believe she will continue to be given many opportunities in her life, whether those are shared publicly as a performer or simply private moments of her own that will contribute to her personal and spiritual growth. Hang in there, Valerie, the best is yet to come!

Agree. Not sure we'll be watching now and we've watched since season 1. Just will NOT be the same. Duff has numerous gigs on that network. If anything he should've just been decreased down 1 show and left her on. JMHO

The reason I watch KBC is because of Valerie and Duff. They are so good together. I hope Valerie will continue her separate cooking show that aired on Saturday morning.

It bothers me that no one seems to care about Duff at all. Low ratings could effect him. He has a family to support.. He recently injured his hand. I hope he can bake again and get those shows going again. Meanwhile he can still host and judge all The Championship shows. They film so far in advance.

I was sad when I heard of her being let go. First, was her cooking show and then this. I can’t imagine why because she is terrific on both, I’m very disappointed on them.

I didn’t watch a lot but I immediately thought what a good fit for her and the kids. She was so positive and real which is something you can’t fake with kids. She lifted that show. 💕❤️

You can tell she's a genuinely kind person. She's beautiful both inside and out.

Ever since I was 12 yrs old and in jr high, everyone called me Valerie because I looked like her when she was on One Day at a Time. That show was very popular around that time and I always loved that people thought I looked so much like her. All through high school the kids at school called me "Val". I am now 56 yrs old and my daughter showed my son in law some pics of Valerie Bertinelli during that era along with some pics of me and he said oh "wow, your mom is so pretty!!!!" LOL He literally could not tell them apart!! I have always and still do love that people say I look like her to this day. What a great compliment!!! 🙏❤

She was in no way fired. Her contract was up for renewal, she tried to negotiate a higher salary. It backfired and the network then decided to not renew her contract.

I LOVE Valerie! I’ve loved her since the 70’s! I struggle with the same kind of weight issues she does. I feel she is a kindred spirit, and so very kind to EVERYONE!❤❤❤

I used to watch her/Duff all the time. The food network is all Guy and Bobby now. It used to be quality watching but now it’s just competition between these two. The kids baking show needs a nice woman to be the “safe” face of the show. She is funny, talks to the kids with kindness and gentleness, like a mom. I’ll miss you Valerie. You were a joy to watch!

Funny how getting paid an insane amount of money for a minimal amount of “work” helps to get you thru those difficult times in your life. None of us can truly understand how painful it is to have your feelings hurt in this way…

I'm sorry to hear Valerie will not be judging the kids baking championship. She was the most likeable and caring judge. A lot of the other judges can be really harsh.

This makes me sad. I've been a fan of Valerie Bertinelli since One Day at a Time was on. She just seems like such a nice person. I totally agree with her on the weight and feel the same way. I've had my weight struggles and sometimes your body just seems to have a set point. I'm looking to the future and am looking forward to seeing Valerie on television shows again! She is a great actress and I would love to see her more.
