Valentino's Homes Around the World

Valentino - not only a man born with the eye for sartorialism but also an eye for creating a beautiful interior too. This video shows three of Valentino Garavani's many homes in Paris (Chateau de Wideville), Gstaad (Chalet Gifferhorn) and his Yacht (T.M. Blue One) moored in Venice. Each very different in style.
Along with Valentino's genius for design, he also strikes me as a very human man filled with much Italian emotion and passion as well as, at times, a sardonic wit - never a man to take himself - or perhaps others - too seriously. He and Giancarlo Giammetti, his lifelong partner - a rare achievement today, particularly in business - make an extremely stylish duo.
The background music is by Les Hommes, the two tracks: "Pousada Do Amor" and "Hommage". The video footage comes from Valentino: The Last Emperor (2008) - a warm, amusing and sometimes farcical insight into the private lives of Valentino and his partner Giancarlo.

Valentino & Giancarlo belong to another era. One of taste, refinement, elegance and manners. There is little of that today sadly.
Such a beautiful -- and well-deserved -- life. Valentino has always been my favorite designer.

Beautiful elegant and luxurious homes with classic furnishings yet each home is designed for living, entertaining and completely unforeboding.
In a world of instant celebrities a person like him stands out the crowd. Difficult to believe this lifestyle still remain intact.

Valentino Garavani, a likeable man. His connection with the rich beautiful real types.....and then he associates with the stumpy artificial Kardashians. Groan. This just reduced him and his credibility a few levels
