While I don't have the kind of sewing machine that can embroider, I can see that the colors are lively and seem to be iridescent. This reminds me of when I made one for my mother, but with cross stitch instead. Thank you Mark for bringing that memory forward.💖🧓

I wanted to try a little antique inspired craft...I thought these were a nice updated version of them. You should google old needle books. There are some wonderful ones out there. All handmade.

Hi Mark!!! I dont have a fancy machine like that, and the only embroidery I do is with,....you guessed it, a hand sewing needle!!! But love the idea of making needle books for gifts!!! Maybe make pin cushions to pair with them, and a lil scissor keeper also maybe...probably lots of little sewing accessories could be added to the list. Along with a nice sewing box to hold it all? Am I getting carried away?? I do tend to do that, lol Happy valentines day dear Mark and your sweetheart too!!! 🍃🤗🍃 big fat hugs!!!

These came out so pretty, Mark! Question relating back to chocolate heart candy boxes: I followed how you built the heart box with base heart and the strips of cardboard to make a big one. I want a scallop heart cardboard under it , so I look for cake boards on Amazon, but they only come round scallop that I see. I’ll never get foamcore cut right, so would the best bet be to draw a scallop by scallop heart on poster board? Just thought I’d pick your genius creative brain. Happy Valentine’s Day early! VDay is my daughters birthday and I wanted to make a wall of old fashioned lace ruffle and flower, ribbon, bow, etc. chocolate heart candy boxes. Some open next to eachother with fake chocolates. ( I have to scour your other videos) They don’t make them gorgeous like they used to and it’s a hefty price on eBay, etc. if you can find a gorgeous one. All ideas welcome!

Poster board works and you can cut cardboard and glue them together. That should do it! It's true, they don't make them like they used to! Happy Valentine's Day!

JoAnn fabrics often has classes and I know there are lots of tutorials on KZread where you can just watch and learn. They are pretty easy actually. I was afraid at first, but once I started it was so easy.
