Schevchenko can grapple tho. Submitting Peña from her guard is actually super impressive cause Peña is no joke and her strengh is mainly her grappling but she still got submitted by the bullet. Schevchenko is a proven better striker and has more weapons than Joanna so I just see this fight being even less competitive than the muay thai fights

I really like Valentina she seems so down to earth.

Joanna doesn't have any attitude, she has the same thing anyone who wants to promote the sport has. People don't tune in to watch friends fight. Joanna is fully aware of this. All of them are all aware of this and some of them are better at getting the people to tune in then the others.

I do believe Wonderboy can beat Usman. Joanna's cringe fills seats. See if it was Rose fighting a very nice girl it wouldn't fill seats. YOU MIGHT LOVE THE FIGHT, but most people who are tuning in or filling the seats aren't where you are at. They don't appreciate the art. They need a good guy and a bad guy. They need to pick someone. In Washington DC metro area, they would pay white boxers more money to fight. There weren't enough white fighters. The money was made when it was black vs white. Black people cheering for the black guy and white people cheering for the white guy. It's capitalizing on human nature. What promoter doesn't want to make more money? satanic cyanide69 She was able to strike with her in their Muay Thai competition days and she helped Rose prepare for Joanna so how would she not be able to stand with Joanna. Val stood toe 2 toe with Holly as well. Val will feel at home standing or on the ground.

So happy they moved this fight back to Toronto. Win the belt in Canada and defend in Russia (co-main of a Khabib title defense perhaps).

She'll fight anybody, any time, any place.; she's a true warrior.

Valentina's gotta quit psyching out her opponents they pull the no show after she stares them down.

Roninscobra Holly Holm was the only one not affected by her stare. Holly and Valentina's stare down was intense and hair raising. Holly wouldn't look away until Valentina did first.

Roninscobra I just know that up until this day,that's my favorite staredown among the female fighters. It was like Fire meets Lightning. Not to mention they were both looking hella good that day. I was rooting for Val then and I'll be rooting for her now. Joanna's only chance is to win by decision. She can't knock out Valentina nor submit her. Val however can either TKO her or win by way of Submission. In any case,Joanna is gonna stare hard at her but I doubt she'll get all up Valentina's face like she normally does with her opponents.

First time I seen Val was in Premier fight league muay thai.Ernesto Hoost was commentating the matches he was Joannas coach when she fought Val and he was mystified by her abilities then.If she can stupify Hoost that says it all.

All Ima say is this: Rose Namajunas went into a camp with Valentina and came out a better fighter on the feet than she had ever been. Then she knocked out Joanna. This is what happened when Valentina trained Rose for Joanna. Those 3 fight Valentina was beating her more decisively. Joannas style is pretty much the same. Valentina doesn't even look the same plus she is used to bigger When she beat Holly on the feet the way she did...I knew she was a problem Also I just wanted to see what kinda jeans she was wearing. Valentina beat her in a striking match up and is a far better grappler so I can't see how MMA helps Joanna when her best chance was Muay Thai. I can see her taking Joanna down in this fight, she's far better in the clinch
