I love these so much that I feature a Hardanger fiddle in one of my novels. He's a traveling tent musician who kept a diary in the late 1800s to early 1900s. (Wish I could have found a great HF photo to use for the cover!)

The performers are great! Unfortunately, the cameraman (or woman) kept zeroing in and out continually and prevented us from seeing the whole performance of the dancers.

That's not 5/8 though. It's 3/4 with a short 1. Lots of norwegian and swedish folk music has that rythm.
