The margin that he won by is almost unheard of. The kid is special.
It really was only a matter of when it would happen with this phenom… but to smash the field on this monster of a track just cements that the Jacko era has officially begun. I’m here for that ride!

@@AJRMTB It's going to be a great rivalry to watch. I think Jordan is always a threat to win, but he isn't as consistent as Jackson is. For now - that could change.

@@AJRMTB truth, *taps wood* if both stay healthy for their respective careers we’ll be witnessing one of the greatest head to head battles in sports, ie Ronaldo v Messi (then you add Bruni, Iles, the French fleet along with 5 other riders capable of multi WC wins…) what a time to be alive!

*The best thing is that they do the races in open transmission, nobody is going to pay a penny to see them live on their page.*

Where were these great bikes and courses in the early 90's? Very cool to watch. This kind of track would've been great for me and my MX XC experience but the bikes couldn't handle it. Keep it coming.

Why does Rick Mclaughlin kept thinking people can make back 3 seconds of time on the last 300m of track, where everyone is basically going the same speed as each other cos it's a motorway?

Not quite 3 seconds, but if your exit speed from that last corner is mid 50's, someone who exits at early 60kph will carry (and gain) more speed over that long section of track - so there's probably at least a second to be won or lost, nail the corners, gearing and timing and there's the rest.

@@gmbnracing Ok, lets do the Maths. 300m at 60kph takes 18 seconds. 300m at 50kph takes 21.6 seconds. So according to Mr Mclaughlin's theory of commentary, it is doable, but no one was riding even close to 10kph faster than everyone else on that last stretch, maybe 1-2kph max which is going to gain you some time, but nowhere near enough to make up that sort of deficit.
I've always loved Cedric: mad styles on him! Having him commentate is brilliant

@@lamefart I wouldn't say pinkbike poll is what the expert things it's mostly teenagers voting and Jackson Goldstone is very loved and has lots of fans of which I am one. Hardline is a 2:30 min race with lots of massive jumps with smooth landings and berms, val di sole is a 3:30 min race with lots of chunck and barely any man made wooden drop or jump it's much more physical. No need to come at me like that either I just commented what I though and I didn't even say anything bad, as fast of a rider as he is I thought this wasn't the race suited to him that's why he surprised me.

He is a bit like Troy Brosnan, their weight allows them to float over things heavier guys can't. Tracks like this suit their physiology.

You said surprising everyone, so I said about the poll then you refute it by reducing the poll to teenagers' vote and not the experts based on your reply. So I guess you're an expert then. Sorry you know everything and we're clueless. Hardline resulted to blown ankles. It's not a Fest Series jump track. It's a proper downhill track with massive drops, tech, gaps, and massive jumps. It's the most challenging as what the racers said. For an expert, you sounded misinformed if you just thought about comparing track times without considering other factors. It's like there's no smooth lines in VDS. No jumps. Heck there's even an uphill part. A bridge where you can take off your hands from the handlebar. 😆
When you comment adding a congrats tells me the winner before I get a chance to watch it 😮😮

Wow we all knew that Jackson and Finn were special Stevie Smith would be so proud of them and as I am from the UK well done to your boy BK and Danny heart specially BK had a decent crash this weekend so sick to see. them both in the top 10 any news on Charlie Hatton he had a big big crash in semi finals
So far, every race this season, I find that I can only watch a few downhill runs with the sound on but then I end up having to mute it. Obviously, everyone is different, but for me, the commentary actually gets fatiguing. I don't hate watching it without the sound but I wish I didn't feel like I needed to.

i think beeing light can help on a track like this because its so rough that you can more easily float over the compressions

Jackson last year was making the overall first place time in this track, even tho he was at the junior's category. But he crashed in the final.

Neck brace should be a rule on those races
I've heard that suspension tuners often set a baseline by getting the forks stiff enough that the rider is not afraid of going over the bars, then build from there. It appears that Finn Iles is NOT afraid of going over the bars...ever...
