Here's a story of me falling in love with Indian culture: I was just playing Civilization VI when I first heard an interpretation of this song as the theme of India. I felt curious and started reading about Mahatma Gandhi and his life. Needless to say, I was impressed by his philosophy of non-violent protests. All through sheer determination, patience and will of Indian people. Then I found out about Chanakya and his work "Arthashastra". Then Maurya dynasty, culture, religion... Now I so want to visit India and her great cities to learn about it more. Love from Russia.

I know your only reference point for this iconic poem is Mahamta Gandhi, but along with that, big credit goes to its creator poet Nasihma Mehta. He was the one who wrote this song in the 15th century, and then it was passed throughout the generations of Saurashtra - Gujarat, then Ghandhi popularized it further.

Hearing this song by 124 countries artist brought rush of emotion in my heart. This bhajan (song) was a favourite song of Mr. Mohandas and mine too. Salute to great soul Gandhi Satule to Adikavi (first Gujarati poet) Narsi Mehta

This song is not just about nation or patriotism but about nature of saintly person and such personality lead humanity.. and India once was filled with such generous hearted people....

Biggest honour to gandhiji was depicting him on our currency and who do u think did dat? As for having gandhiji know worldwide that was done before his death, at his death most of d countries in d world mourned with flag at half mast, this is all just advertisement, just because BJP govt has come in an age of great ease of mass media don't tell they did everything stop being fooled by advertising and think for a second I am not telling Congress is good nor am I telling BJP is bad but I am just telling u to think without any influence and decide.

Bro don't say mahatma Gandhi as father of nation. He is the root cause of all the problem between India and Pakistan facing today.. he and Nehru just fucked up the situation of India...

@@princesaxena3844 Not in this case brother. I am also Anti Gandhian as well as Anti Congress(Including its allies), But that doesn't means that I need to hate this beautiful Art of Music. Good things can always be appreciated no matter who did it after all. And One more thing, this song is not written or composed by M.K. Gandhi, it was originally written by Late Mr. Narsinh Mehta Ji, a famous poet from 15th Century India, the whole credit goes to him.

Ek saint jo apne marne K 78saal aur salo saal Bad bhi pure vishwa ko ek bhajan se jodne ki taqat rkhta h!! Proud to be Indian . ♥ don't forget we all belong to same land and that land call earth 🌍. So please respect every religion and every country. *Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - It means that the whole earth is just one family.* And this video is perfect example for it.

Only a true vaishnav like narasingh mehta could have composed such a heart touching melody....
