vaginal birth-natural childbirth

Dandelion medical animation All rights reserved.
Every pregnancy is unique, and not all mothers will experience the same symptoms or progress in the same way.
During the last weeks of pregnancy, the baby will continue to gain weight and accumulate more body fat. As the baby grows larger, the uterus expands, and the mother may experience increased discomfort, especially in the lower back, pelvis, and abdomen.
In preparation for birth, The baby may experience position changes, such as shifting from side to side or rotating within the womb. Most babies settle into a head-down position in the mother's pelvis, with their head closer to the birth canal. This relieves pressure on the diaphragm and makes breathing easier for the mother. It may also increase pressure on the bladder, leading to more frequent urination. This position, known as "cephalic presentation," is considered ideal for vaginal delivery. However, some babies may remain in a breech or feet-first position.
Throughout the final weeks of pregnancy, The baby's lungs continue to mature And produce a substance that helps keep the air sacs open and facilitates efficient oxygen exchange after birth. The baby may engage in practice breathing movements In the last weeks. These movements involve rhythmic contractions of the diaphragm and chest muscles, aiding in lung development and preparation for breathing air after birth.
In anticipation of labor and impending parenthood, the mother can bring about a range of emotions. She may feel excited, anxious, nervous, or a combination of these emotions.
Many mothers experience a surge of energy and a strong desire to prepare for the baby's arrival. This is commonly referred to as the nesting instinct. She may have an intense urge to clean, organize, and set up for the baby.
Braxton Hicks contractions can occur as early as the second trimester but become more noticeable in the last weeks of pregnancy. They are often described as practice contractions and help prepare the uterus for labor.
As labor approaches true labor contraction occurs. True labor contractions have a regular pattern and become increasingly frequent, longer, and more intense over time. They lead to gradual dilation of the cervix.
The amniotic sac rupture, or water breaking, can occur at different times during labor. It may rupture on its own without any intervention, or if the amniotic sac hasn't ruptured naturally, the healthcare provider may intentionally rupture the amniotic sac using a sterile instrument called an amniotomy hook

Women have a natural drive to have babies, that’s why they are horny during the fertile part of the menstrual cycle. Quite a few reported getting an orgasm during birth giving. Respect mothers who are mothering their children, not for giving birth.

We do experience something similar when we get kidney stones. I had them 7 times. The most horrific, painful experience that I ever had in my life. That might be the equivalent of giving birth 7 times in my case !!!! plus I have had surgery in my neck and lumbar spine. I know exactly what you mean when you say pain.

I remember being really scared to give birth. It's frightening when you think about it. I almost wanted to ask for a c section because of how scared of vaginal birth I was. But honestly it's really not that bad. Lol atleast after your baby is born and your hormones make you forget what even happened, then it's not that bad. I feel like womens brains shut off what actually happened which makes them want to have more kids 🤣 but really, once your baby is born nothing else matters. You forget all that you just went thru. Good luck !

Science can only explain this fact with limited knowledge, but a lot is going on behind the scenes which the master creator of all creations is handling. Is this not a proof of God's existence without religious acclaimed? Who does all the work for 9months and after, look at how the innocent baby spins to adjust its position and shoulder to pass through the birth canal. This is the work of God even if you believe not ❤❤❤❤

@@miladmilad3728 I'm extremely sorry but I don't agree with the above individual. A natural birth is healthier for the baby. The baby learns to struggle and that is extremely important for it to develop the initial strength in his/her body. I've heard this from various doctors since and from the women in my house....that's why I would highly recommend a natural birth. The pain is rlly rlly worth it. You'll be better again. Just like a chick has to struggle to come out of an egg to retain that strength in its wings. Although, it's really up to u and whatever ur doctor recommends you. All the best ❤️

I am pregnant with baby number 3 due May 2024. My first pregnancy I delivered my baby in the posterior position. I had a really bad laceration and I needed two blood transfusions. The pain for the next 3 weeks so intense, but my husband thankfully had parental leave for 8 weeks and he was so helpful and supportive while I was pretty much bed ridden it took me about 3 to 4 month to feel back to normal again. My second baby was completely different. I was induced because he was getting so big and my doctor was concerned that he may get meconium in his lungs. I asked them if I could get the epidural before they broke my water, which was awesome because I didn’t feel one contraction! When it was time to push, he was out in minutes and I had minimal tearing. Recovery was a breeze, I felt almost back to normal after about 2 weeks. Hopefully number 3 is breeze as well!

Congrats, mama! I'm pregnant with baby #3 also. I have HORRIBLE pregnancies and great deliveries. My first and second were both induced at 38 weeks. My contractions were very intense with my first baby because of the pitocin. Once my epidural kicked in, everything was cool and the delivery was a success. My delivery with my second baby was cool too because of the epidural. Another success. I lost a lot of blood after I gave birth to baby #2, though. Lord willing, I'm expecting to give birth next week at 38 weeks again (another induction). I'm nervous like it is my first time, but I'm so tired of being pregnant. The nausea, the vomiting, the ptyalism, the heartburn, the frequent urination, the round ligament pain, the lightning, the shortness of breath, etc. I'm tired! 😫

Great video. I wish many pregnancies were that smooth. In the U.S. C-sections are extremely common-place as women are increasingly experiencing a range of complex pregnancies. Heck, my wife almost died from a complex delivery - she survived thanks to the courage of an experienced nurse who quietly "RUNG-THE-ALARM" and alerted the ICU's ERT (Emergency Response Team) to take-over from an incompetent OBGYN surgical team - it was almost bedlam! Would be nice to see an educational piece on some of the more common complex pregnancies women should be aware of, and what they (and their partners) may experience if a problem arises. Believe me, when problems arise on the day of delivery it can go wrong very very quickly and often parents are confronted with very difficult decisions WITHOUT the benefit of a 2nd opinion or "google". Future moms (parents) should be shown difficult pregnancies as well... Good luck!

As an expectant mother due Jan 3rd (currently 28+6 weeks, 29 tomorrow!) I agree with this. I've watched countless episodes of the midwife documentary on Our Stories, which - despite a concerning lack of censorship for the mother's respect and dignity (I.e if the head is crowning, the rest of the vagina is not really censored, and I saw way to much boob which has nothing to do with delivery) - I'm grateful I've now seen a range of c sections, emergency and elective, and complicated vaginal births in explicit detail with a sort of behind the scenes perspective from the midwife teams. Really informative and I think a video like this one to be shown to schools on complex deliveries and expected potential problems would be really useful, not just to ease minds/prepare expectant mothers like me but also partners, as (if you're in a relationship) it's a team effort and the more support and info the partner has, in turn it then helps the mother alleviate stress in the most vulnerable and painful time of her life. I wish I have this much information when I had sex Ed in school. Tl;dr I totally agree and think a follow up video on complications would be really useful.

There is a lot of factors as to why. Sometimes hospitals suggest unnecessary medical interventions rather than let the normal birthing process take place. Not everytime the surgery is necessary for the woman and most women in the USA aren’t even allowed to choose what birthing position they need. So they get the worst one which is supine and end up in problems.

Some other things to note… Mother’s position can have significant impact on how birth progresses. And the hormone flow that can help birth progress well can be significantly impacted by the environment of birth - lights, touching, noise, people in and out, restricted movement, coached or not coached. These things can impact the birthing process as well.

  • @ronaldlee3537
    @ronaldlee35377 ай бұрын

Something that the video did not mention is that the bones of a baby are extremely flexible, which facilitates the birthing process. The head is made up of plates, and they squish together so that the baby can be born. The shape of a newborn baby's head is not the shape of a typical human, rather it is elongated; but over the next few weeks that will disappear, and it will look normal. And later in life toward the late-teens or early-20s, the bones will fuse together.

It’s so intense that you actually shut down to the outside world & withdraw into yourself, during labor. I was completely unaware of my surroundings from the beginning of transition, until my baby was born. The only way to get through it was to mentally remove myself from everything but laboring. There was no energy or brain power left for anything else. The main thought that got me through, was trusting that the outcome would be worth it. And ultimately, my body would complete the process with or without my consent. It’s a little disturbing, but very powerful.

Amazing how the body reacts to this experience to do the best for both the mother and the baby. It's scary and at the same time beautiful that this bond lasts for the rest of their lifes, the kids' and the parent's

Women, don’t be afraid of natural childbirth. It’s hard and it’s the most intense thing you can imagine, but it is so powerful and can even be transcendent. There is no other circumstance where your body’s systems are so overloaded it feels like you could die, but you aren’t afraid, because all you care about in that moment is getting your baby out. We were made this way, all of us. Drug free and in the thick of childbirth, for a short time, the door to another realm opens and you can feel the power, the pain, the fears, love, strength and the will of all the women who came before you. Only women can bring life forth into this world. Embrace your inner power and never be afraid of what you and your body can do.

To everyone of us, mother is the woman whom we love the most in the world. As children, we should respect and show filial piety to mother and father. As husband, we should care about and tresure wife well. It should be the largest sin if children don't show filial piety or husband doesn't treat wife well.
