3. Maintaining Turgor Pressure: In plant cells, vacuoles play a crucial role in maintaining turgor pressure, which helps keep the cell rigid and the plant upright. When the vacuole is filled with water, it exerts pressure against the cell wall.
4. Waste Management: Vacuoles can contain and isolate cellular waste products, helping to protect the rest of the cell from potentially harmful substances.

7. Transport: Vacuoles can also play a role in the transport of molecules within the cell. They can transport ions, nutrients, and other substances to various parts of the cell.
