Very true. In this comment section most of us have shared our feelings and our relationships which are somewhat similar. No one goes through the same exact events as another person and each one of us is impacted and changed in different ways. Myself included. My life has been screwed since I was born and I had to grow up at the age of 12. Paying bills, buying groceries. I even had a job getting payed more than my own mother at that point. I lost my nana (who is my grandmother for those who don't know what that means) when I was 15 (which was 2019. I'm 18 now) and my pawpaw last year in October which I wasn't told until over 2 months after he passed. I have many many psychological issues. Most of them major ones. I've been abused since 5 years old in more ways than you can think and it has taken it's toll and left a deep scar. One that will take years to repair no matter how much therapy and medications I receive. But through all that I still keep going and no matter who I'm talking to or who I'm around I'm still always polite and respectful. Like I said earlier nobody knows what every individual person has gone through in their life up until that point. So there isn't any reason to make it worse or be an asshole just for fun.

This music makes me feel I've been somewhere I haven't been, met people who I don't know, and felt some kind of feeling that I don't understand.

I feel like vacations make music for the millennial generation but not in a bad way. They sing about the stress and anxiety things we will all go thru when we are young. We all have feelings of inadequacy growing up. They encapsulate the struggles of being a young person as the come to terms with getting older, moving out, and isolation. Their music has always helped me when I have had a bad day it helps to know I'm not the only one that has felt that way and feeling that way can lead to some spectacular music. They remind me so much of the Smiths with the upbeat tangy guitar and the melancholy lyrics

I descovered this band and his music wen i was at the university, i spend my whole life at the Uni listen to them, listen this. At 12:00 am listen while i was doing my home work, 3:00 am estudying for an exam, some days playing online xbox 360 listen vibes and days, some days crying and having existencial thougts, staring at the stars, chilling out, having a great time with my mates and somking weed, giving a hug to my dogs and laughin and playing and dancing while all the album was playin, maaan so much memories... today again this appared on listen again list and man, all is waaay diferent now. Well, at first I didn't like these songs, but as time went by I started to like them, and nowadays I love these songs.

I miss this era

the hook for this album is so great. i would argue one of the most important aspects of an album is captivating the listener within the first 20 seconds and this did exactly that.

So I inherited the house I grew up in and installed an indoor outdoor audio system, it’s hotter than hell outside here in Texas. This album comes on and for whatever reason the audio system is glitching and the volume goes all the way up, inside and outside. My ex is over and she’s digging the music but worries about the next door neighbor coming over and making a scene and or calling the police. Sure enough the cops show up with my neighbor in hand. They start dancing actually as soon as I open the front doors. All of a sudden I realized that this is a freaking dream. I wake up and it turns out that I fell asleep and rolled onto the volume on the phone with my ear buds in, and I both happy and sad. On one hand I am happy that I woke up in time to capture who the hell was I was listening to as the album just finished playing..the other I have heartburn. I had eaten a bowl of knock-off lucky charms before bed. It should also be mentioned that I did not inherit the house I grew up in , my ex never was there( don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad thing yet) and the police and neighbor thing too still kinda messed me up, don’t really know what to think about the dream. Maybe lucky charms cereal before bed is a good idea, even if it is not named brand and full of surgery goodness in the shape of green clovers, yellow moons and red balloons. Also last time something like this happened I was an inpatient at the VA hospital in north Texas and a Franky Flowers album just finished playing, and I forget what I had eaten before bed but I woke up from strange dreams and heartburn. The mind is a wonderful place to be when it comes to dreams, the soundtrack can be left to interpretation as well as whether you dream of pleasant things or have nightmares. Enjoy quarantine 2020!!!

Insane vibes

This album takes me to my uni freshman days. Summer of 2017. I just cut my hair short, and the city was a ghost town in the summer. I was so lonely cruising the empty streets on my bike in the middle of the night with wind in my hair. Wearing just a crop top with a panda face on it, some shorts and my flip flops, earphones in playing this album. I was sad but I was also happy at the same time. It gave me a great cheery vibe which helped deal with that loneliness. Still to this day I listen to this album and it feels like I'm listening to it for the very first time, and feeling the wind of those summer nights on my face, looking at the stars above.

Derek Watson like the whole indie genre? of course not, but nobody had this sound before him. and it IS a very specific sound we are talking about here. everything about this album sounds very mac demarco.its almost like a cover band. down to the tone of the guitars and the way they are played, how the songs all end with that pitch dip meant to sound like tape warble

Sounds like demarco if demarco had a good singing voice.

I love listening to this album while doing homework. The music is so calming. I can actually focus, their songs can either be happy or sad and I love that about them

I seriously cannot understate the importance of making friends and memories and experiencing things. When you get older, regardless of circumstance, you slowly lose the ability to make new memories and to make your life meaningful due to the ever-degrading physical condition of your body. While you're young is the perfect time to do this, and friends and memories you make will last a lifetime. Regardless of your position in life, or your goals or aspirations, everyone can benefit from a little effort to make a friend or two.

I love how everyone has something to say about their love relationships and this band. I can still remember the vibe of how she looked at me smiling and I was lost in her universe

first time i ever listened to this album, i was sitting on some rocks beside a bridge in a small town in the rocky mountains, infront of me was a river, and farther was a huge rocky mountain with the sun peeking from behind it, god this moment was so beautiful and i wish i could relive it.

got introduced to this by accident in spring of 2017 and was just a slept on album left to dust on my library until i was looking around my music studying for a test during the fall time later that year to get accepted to the “best” high school in town. man i was a dad hat wearing fool after that. i transferred middle schools and just got even more hooked. good times man. so long to this decade. love you vacations and thank you human sound records for constantly putting out amazing music.

oh. my. god. You really have no idea how great this is, I actually want this album to be my lover . Its crazy how much this music pulls me deep into an endless plane of what i can only refer to as good stuff. Now i don't mean good stuff like wifi and such, but like good vibes and the music makes you fall into this rabbit hole of wonderful memories that you've never actually made. My kind of girl! Over-explaining the vibes you're catching from the "lift" getting you to a place that really RESONATES with certain music. See words just can't do the experience justice. Words just get in the way. (Especially if you're like me and you spend lots of time looking through the SYNONYMS website trying to find EXACTLY the right WORD for the vibe you're trying to make others comprehend. I guess you just have to get to that chill-ass frequency - otherwise people will just think you're HIGH as FUCK and would probably enjoy the sounds of 100 small children FAKE-CRYING as hard as they can all at the same time....

Every song on here is a banger. Definitely one of the best albums I've ever heard.

No matter how much time passes I keep returning to this album and it's like it blesses my ears all over again

Just sounds like Shoegaze (Slowdive, Whirr) mixed with Bedroom Pop (Acid Ghost, Teen Suicide). Although I would say that you could call it Vaporgaze, given the obvious aesthetic references.

This music got me through the past few years of my life. I'm going to highschool next year. With the pandemic and other more personal things, part of my middleschool experience was ruined. This brightened my life when it was dark, and though I come back to this video much less than I used to, I'm still so grateful for its existence. Thank you.

thats cool, but Im saying that this sounds like demarco, not like bedroom pop. Since this is a 2017 album, I think they should made it with a different sound, a more unique an signatureish sound, and not with the sound Demarco capitalized even thou the genre was out there before him.

found these guys in 2018 during my highschool years. always love the vibes they bring me, so happy i found them. the nostalgia is insane.

Just danced like a dork to this whole album and pretended like I was at there concert. I miss live music. This band is definitely now on my “must see” list.
