Vacation in largest city in the US! Sitka, Alaska!

Alaska has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember and I finally got the opportunity to visit this wonderful state!
Friends of mine moved in Sitka I decided to take them up on the offer for a visit And it was an amazing visit!
I got to try my for hand at salmon fishing, take some beautiful hikes, see eagles up close and also see some bears
If you haven’t been to this beautiful state I suggest you put it at the top of your bucket list!

    It was! Ramona, not sure where you are in the world but if you ever get a chance to visit Alaska I highly recommend it! I’ve been to a lot of places in the world but the things that impressed me the most was how clean the air smelled and even the seashore which was just a very clean smell and not fishy like a lot of other places near the water! Everything there is just pristine!

    Love the mini history lesson of Alaska. One question: Do you fly multiple airlines or stick with one (for the loyalty, miles rewards?)

  • @TheoryofSimple

    @TheoryofSimple

    Well, I normally fly Southwest a lot because you can cancel your flights at the last minute and they don’t charge you any fees, however Southwest does not fly to Alaska so we flew Delta up and Alaska Airlines back home. 😊

I have only had my Apple Watch for a few months and I have not done any international travel with it yet. But I guess the quick answer is yes I would wear it. Just curious as to why I would not wear it? ❓🙂

    @@susanjohnston4066 my Apple Watch does not have its own a phone number so it does rely on my phone for data and I really don’t do much data stuff on my phone and I have unlimited data on my plan so that would be useful for me. However, my iPad does have its own phone number but it also has unlimited data. But it would be good to know if you’re roaming or not and to put my iPad in airplane mode if it was something that was going to incurred more charges. Always good information to know and I appreciate you asking and giving us your feedback! 🙂

    @@TheoryofSimple My husband retired from USPublic Health Service. He was a dentist at SEARHC. I was a librarian at Sheldon Jackson College, which closed. Our kids went to college on the east coast and both settled here. We returned to the house where I grew up in Vermont. Mike went back to AK for work for 4 or 5 years. We visit friends still, or they visit us in Vermont. Sitka can be very isolated, and when health issues arise it can be down right terrifying. I’m a 7th generation Vermonter ( in the same house!) so Vermont is home.

    We don’t wash it, but we give it a quick rinse because it’s been laying on a board with guts and stuff spilling out of it so you do have to give it a quick rant, but we are very cognizant of putting too much water on the fish but quite honestly, you have good taste is the meat😊
