Trent your Parents should be proud. You are a very respectful young man. Remember showing others respect shows you have respect for yourself.

Trent you are a credit to the industry. You keep your equipment clean and organized. It shows pride of ownership every time . More importantly, you are consistently kind, courteous and respectful to your clients. It's not always easy. I hear the sincerity in your voice. I never hear a foul word come out of you. Poor guy, gets his RV all shined up for a vacation with his family, just to have it break down on him a few miles down the road.

Great videos as always Trent. Its very sad people do not respect or have a care in the world when you are working on the road. I work for the railroad and folks really try their luck with the crossing gates every day.

@@lngsht8168 In my 20+ years of railroading, the safe action is to bring a train to a controlled stop if you hit someone. They are already dead and mangled, to place a train in emergency braking risks derailments and possibly hazardous material spills. If you hit a car/truck, we apply emergency braking upon impact. No matter what, ones life is done being hit (most likely).

yeah but then they'd have to have an officer in duty for each call, the officer would have to be near, too much in the Logistical dept

We tow RVs our way using the Peterbilt Wrecker, and your way using the landoll, the winner is... me!

Elderly people were always my favorite people to help/tow the story's they've told me about their lives is like a history lesson. Another great video. Oh hey when are you going to get you rotater lettered? The dangerous side you mean the desert side lol

Much of Hwy 86 used to be just two lanes without a median or divider. It had some nicknames like the Killer Highway, Blood Alley, and 90 Miles through Hell. There used to be lots of head-on collisions. When Indio High had football games in Brawley or El Centro, my parents never let us go on the school buses with the Pep Band, since a number of buses had been involved in accidents. That was in the 70s and 80s. Even with four lanes divided now, that chunk of highway has a fairly high accident rate. Be safe out there, day and night, and always be expecting the unexpected, coming from any direction. Keep up the A-1 customer service and great videos. 👌

I don't understand either it's not that hard to flip a blinker on and move to the left lane I do it to every single person Fire Department EMS paramedic tow trucks even some stranded person on the road I move over it's not hard if a cop catches you you could get a big ass fine stay safe out there Trent

Its the law most places, thats crazy , I would call police for help, someone is gonna die. Can you put out cones? Is it not the law to move over in CA?

I have a few friends that do what you do I can't believe how many people don't move over I move over all the time

They need to put a tow hook under on all motorhome and RV because it be little bit easy to tie down if they have hooks in four corners of the motorhome

Ian M it just adds extra cost for something that the vast majority of owners would never need. There are many ways to tie down a cat. 😉

Cones... A set of cones 2-3 feet in the first lane will force traffic to slow and or move over or damage there car... Let them decide.

As a mechanic I’m interested in getting info on what was wrong with the RV. Fuel supply issue or?

Throttle cable probably snapped or came off. Happens all the time. Engine ran fine and it went into gear. Didnt hear it spool up as he tried to hit the gas.

Do the 50+ tons have je g brakes?

last year I was broke down on I-10 with a Fifth Wheel and truckers was as bad or worse than 4 wheelers. No respect for others.

Dual license plates? Edit: little army trick. If, once you slide the block of wood under the bungee on one side, you turn it on its side and move it away from the other blocks, you can slide the 2nd block through from the other side, which saves you walking around the truck once.

Jan Verschueren look close at the plates, one is a license plate from a Washington state, the other is a WIT club plate, most likely a Winnebago club...

If this class "A" RV is like mine all the owner had to do is start his generator and the ac power would (through his battery charger, mine is rated at 90 Ampeeres) keep his batteries charged, he couold have driven home. Ron W4BIN

Yeah, we do. They've been advertising the hell out it for years - TV, radio, billboards, mobile and fixed highway signs . . . nobody pays attention because the one thing they don't seem to do is *enforce* it.

pandorafalters It’s the law in every state, started as the Scott’s Law, also known as the Move Over Law, when Captain Scott Gillen of the Chicago, IL Fire Department was struck and killed by an intoxicated driver in 2000 on the Dan Ryan Expressway. Since 2000 every state has adopted the law, some have fines and penalties up to $10,000 should someone get injured or killed. This law covers all Police, Fire, EMS, Construction Workers, Tow Truck Operator’s, Highway Maintenance Workers, Emergency Roadside Assistance Vehicles even Garbage Collection vehicles that display a rotating, oscillating or flashing warning light(s), and not just the red and blue as we see on police, fire and EMS, they include the amber and green ones too.

Great job, I see the rv is very clean. Seeing these videos makes me not to want to buy one.

You think a 90's 3/4 ton with a big block engine and low gear ratios could pull such a thing? Of course it would be illegal and unsafe. But I'm just wondering if it would do it if you had a good long gooseneck so you can do proper weight distribution?

I usually get a cold brew or flat white. Don’t go to Starbucks to often though I have a local shop I support.

Was it a gas or diesel engine? If it's a diesel, turbo or dpf problem?

What is the average cost to tow a 40ft. Deisel pusher, weight about 30,000 lbs.? I'm trying to figure out how much insurance to have on my policy.

Gotta wonder if his throttle cable just had a clip pop off and that's why it could only idle. Wonder if he even raised the engine cover to look at it. Could have been an easy fix.

modern diesels dont have throttle cables all fly by wire and injectors are electronic too it probably went into lip mode due to emissions

Hi Trent, I was wondering if you answer my question. About two years ago my 34 feet class A RV was towed to dealer. Since then there has been a clicking noise from both sides of wheels. If I remove wheel cap then i don't hear any the noise. Do you have any ideas why this is happening? Thanks!

Is an RV tow like this one covered via a provider such as AAA for example, or do RV's need special towing insurance, or does it all come out of the owner's pocket?

Regular roadside assistance programs don't usually cover RVs but there are roadside assistance programs that specialize in RVs. Good Sams is one of them but there are many and I believe AAA offers packages that cover RVs.

State Farm covers my RV for towing. They even cover my Deuce and a half for towing.

The people who don’t move over should get a ticket.

it is the law in many states that you must move over for stopped emergency vehicles. If you can legally anyway. on a 2 lane roads i will cross the center line to give cops room.

Oh by the way people never move over I work on the freeways every day. Do maintenace, work accidents, from fence line to fence line it is my job been yelled at, custout, had things thrown at me and been hit...hurts, green grape fruit in back by ass wipe from car doing 80, had people run into closure take out vehilcles,side swiped, mirrors taken off and seen others hit and killed so yes don't trust anyone. People just don't care. Can't drive

Hit the ground running sometimes it can be hard when other cars are right next to you but I agree they need to move over when they can

Seems to be pretty popular in rural desert areas to do RV repairs from home since so much land is dual-zoned. There's a huge shop 2 lots down from me, probably about 10,000 sqft. Guy does RV, mobile RV, heavy trucks, has a few *nice* old muscle cars that he built . . .. Lives on the same property.

No move over law where you are? Know it should be common sense to move but some people are too ignorant and need a law

Nope. Insurance does. Anyone with a large RV has full insurance to cover just this kind of situation.
