I just picked up this SJ80 to use as a cool little runaround/fuel saver/p*nis compensator...
It's worse than I thought... There's going to be a lot of rust repairs involved in this. I ended up taking the entire body off the car to get it done relatively properly.
This isn't a full restoration, more like a patch up job to keep me going until I decide to carry out my very cool engine swap plans for this car...

if you really want to upset "proper 4x4" folk, and given your Chanell has 4x4 in the title - try Subaru AWD mods.... e.g. Barra in a Forester, EZ30 in a Triton... Cause every 4x4 stalwart knows a Subaru AWD is a real 4x4 - all the rest are pretend 4x4's that Nancyboys from Plymoth use to pickup sailors in..

Great runaround vehicle. Not only that one of the best 4wd's ever built.
Tbh that model with the old body but coils is the best of the bunch.

I'd need 2 chassis for that
To safely lift a jimny or coily, use some steam pipe around the body mounts that extend past the bolts. This way, you lift from the chassis, it is wider and you can remove the radius arms.

Yeah can't say I'd be too keen to lift a car by the body mounts. I'm sure it'll cope, but I'd be making a face
I vote honda f20 conversion for the suzuki.
That under carriage literally Prado LJ78 copy.
Let's see (4+10)/2 =7 so you have, on average, a 7cylinder engine in that Jimny - great runaround - might be a bit rough.
