Actually strength/force is part of the definition of torque. You are confusing torque with power. He gave an acceptable comparison. As top speed increases torque decreases. This is basic cause and effect of changing gear ratios.

I probably just dont understand this correctly, but isn’t the point of the pistons in a combustion engine to produce rotational energy? Isn’t running an electric motor to actuate the pistons essentially equivelant to just having that electric motor turn a really long axle?

Youre exactly right. Everyone making a lego engine is doing nothing more than using an already rotating mass to make something that looks and acts likr an engine block with the head removed. If the lego engine was making the power i would be impressed

Ze brother Ze brother if it was real it would not do that, that depends on the engine capacity. For example, if you had a 4.0l v8 and this in a 4.0l capacity the power output would be better in the v8 because there are less pistons creating drag/resistance. However, if this engines capacity were to be the same size as that on the 4.0l v8 (500cc/cyl) then the total capacity of the new engine would be a 24l engine and depending on its efficency and other variants (whether it uses forced induction and has performance parts etc) the new engine wouldost likley produce more power than the original one.
