you should check the description of stardust, starglitter and primogems. and also the statues of seven seem to project energy upwards, so, are they sending this energy to the celestia and could also be that the inverted statue was supposed to send this very energy to the abyss(downwards)....and there's one more thing that I noticed, idk if you already know this or not...we've two moons that we know of, the abyssal and the welkin....but where's the third moon...is paimon related to welkin moon and the third moon is the moon in sky

The "eyes" on Susty's cubes kinda look like chain-links too. It's common to see someone wrap chains around a box they want to keep closed, so the imagery is there.

I really like the idea that the Traveler is primarily going to each nation to gather their power back, to pick up their pieces that "Susty" scattered, because it's always bothered me why the Traveler doesn't go straight to searching for the Abyss after finding out that's where their sibling is hanging out.

5:40ish made me think... what IF the thing that humanity created was a new element entirely?? The secret element/abysmal power that Dainsleif has- what if that power poised a threat to Celestia and that's why the sustainer had to come down to stop them from getting too far? Literally just a thought that came to mind I have no basis for that theory otherwise x)

Actually, in the achievement namecard, "Colors of the rainbow" the description says this; "Light can refract into countless colors, but people stop at seven because they're lazy to count. Perhaps the elements are like that, too." Hinting at the idea that there are more elements than just the seven. Enkanomiya lore further builds on this in the Byakuyakoku Collection, vol 4: "Dossier serial numbers shall no longer use the categories Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon, which used the ancient Watatsumi tongue. Instead, we shall use Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Ether, and Void going forward." If we attribute that earth=geo, water=hydro, fire=pyro, and wind=anemo... That leaves Ether and Void as a mystery... vol 3 also notes: ".... earth, the element between wind and water." Which suggests that geo may be "between" anemo and hydro. Whatever "between" means... Whether is just means between each other in cultural artistic representations, or between each other much like liquid is between solid and gas in the states of matter. Plus, PLUS! We have Cryo, which is just Hydro-but-cold. So we could just as easily have steam (hot hydro), or coal (hot dendro), or something entirely new.... ALSO! There was the god of Salt, and the god of Dust. Both of which are arguably just forms of geo, much like cryo is a form of hydro. However, Salt and Dust are not considered elements, possibly because no one cares to see them as elements. Besides, there are no visions to represent these elements, so even if people acknowledged them as elements, no one would really care. So in a way, celestia decides what "the elements" are based on the visions they decide to bestow. -Oh, there's also the obsession with Chalk with regards to albedo, that could be an element as well. This got long, but the point is that there are likely more elements than just "the seven" in Teyvat. After all, the loading screen notes that Teyvat has its own "laws". With that in mind, perhaps humans didn't invent a new element, but gained access to an element that celestia did not allow humans to posess... So, I wouldn't say this theory is completely baseless. It, in fact, has more basis than a theory that notes there are ONLY seven elements.

@Harry Shade the problem with your idea is that there's nothing confirmed about it. There were seven sovereigns, that much is known. Of these seven, the only one explicitly noted is the Dragon of Water, who will be reborn as a human because the bathysmal vishaps have been mutated (used to only be hydro, but now use cryo and electro) We assume that the other 6 correspond to the other 6 elements we know, but the key word there is "assume". There's a theory that Azhdaha is also one of the seven sovereigns, due to the fact he's referred to as "dragon lord" and "overlord of geovishaps" however it's unknown if he IS one of the seven sovereigns, or just a relatively newer lord. Much like how there is the god of anemo, and geo, but we also had the god of salt. All of them are gods, but only certain ones are *archons*. Azhdaha and the Dragon of Water may both be a dragon lord, but it could be that only certain dragon lords were THE seven sovereigns. When the primordial one defeated the seven sovereigns, it created 4 shades, one of whom held dominion over wind and time. With that said, the seven sovereigns could just as easily have been Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Ether, Void, and then Time as the mystery element we didn't know before. After all, the one seven sovereign we know for certain is the Dragon of Water, not the Hydro Dragon. We don't know what the other shades were, but in Vol 3 of Byakuyakoku Collection, they note; 'the power of the "undying wind"... and is poetically rendered... "the thousand winds of time." ' ' "Water"... the might of the Vishap Realm, represented by the Bathysmal Vishaps.' And that there was a study of "the relationship between Sunfire, wind, and water." It should also be noted that in "The Subterranean Trials of Drake and Serpent" it is said that vishaps are beings of the elemental Vishap Realm, or Light Realm, and are at odds with the Human Realm (where humans/gods live) and the abyssal Void Realm. So what are the other three shades of the primordial one? We don't know. Wind and time, aka "the thousand winds of time," is confirmed. These two elements/entities are commonly linked, even in current lore with the Wind and Time temple in Mondstadt. Sunfire, could be hinting to a shade with dominion over Ether and Fire. With Ether relating to the heavens/sky, and Fire being.. well, fire. A shade for Water And perhaps a shade for Void and Earth, who knows? It's probably more likely that the seven sovereigns were just associated to the seven elements we know, BUT. As I noted, there was a god of Salt, yet salt is not considered an element in current day. Similarly, there were the seven sovereigns, and there could've been a "dragon lord of salt" who was not a sovereign. Hell, there could've been a dragon lord of electro who wasn't a sovereign back then, but now a god of electro has been upgraded to THE seven. There's also the idea that the Primordial One, after defeating the seven sovereigns, shaped the heavens and earth, and thus it could have added or removed any element it saw fit. We don't know. Anyways, this became an essay lmao.

@@kanvea as far as I know, their world is not called "Earth" The word Earth, at least in english, can be used to represent both the whole planet, and just the ground beneath you. I'd have to look at a translation to see how CN referred to it in that moment...

I always have this theory or especulation that Morax was the one who was one who was close to the Heavenly Principles --- sharing similar ideas, unlike Beezbebul's ideal of eternity. I mean, those two are kinda similar, at least on design. Morax's Statue of the Seven holds a cube. And Asmonday's main element is related with cubes. Both have golden eyes. And both act as judges of an divine order over mortals.

@@tartnouveau3652 I wouldn't say he is close to the Sustainer as a person, but closer to her ideals. My take is that Morax's ideal about order is similar on how Asmoday's order operates. Ei tried to do the same with her ideal of Eternity, but couldn't be the same level of impact as Morax --- Inazuma seemed to slowly die, while Liyue was thriving.

So i have another viewpoint of why eternity is closer to the Heavenly Principles. Enkanomya introduced us to a little figure called Kairos. This is the goddess of time, she is known by a plethora of titles, including the God of Moments, the Thousand Winds of Time, Tokoyo Ookami, and the Undying Wind. This goddess is said to be one of the four shades of the "Primordial One" making her a primordial deity. I want to focus on the name "Tokoyo Ookami", this name can be translated to "great god of the unchanging world" and is rendered in Before Sun and Moon as "ruler of the unchanging world." That's why it is said that eternity is closest to the Heavenly Principles, it's not about the Sustainer herself but to the ideals of divinity she protects, aka the rule of Celestia and of the Primordial one While Ei's view of eternity is flawed, since time itself is in constant change, it is still the closest one to the ideal of what celestia stands for.

@@mariapazgonzalezlesme I would disagree that Ei tried to do the same as Morax. Order and Eternity are 2 different things. Morax gave up control of his nation. He isnt involved at all. The liyue xiqing make liyue prosper, not Morax. He fulfilled his contract. Ei/Raiden wanted things to never change so her ideal was rather selfish and she truly didnt even realize what went on in her own world other than to appoint her retainers to control everything in her stead. This mind set is likely similar to Susty's ideal. Control, power and subservience is how they rule and life will go on according to their will. You are right that Inazuma is rather poor in comparison to liyue because inazuma is a feudal society with fixed order and only nobility has power. Similar to how japan was irl during its 200 years of isolation. Poor country until it opened up to the world

the hypostases also look an awful lot like her cubes, and somewhere i forgot where but it says theyre "beings who gave up their previous form to attain the highest level of elemental purity" or something like that 👀

If the game is anything like gnosticism (which the game hints at), then Aether and Lumine are akin to Aeons and they're only "full" when together because they're literally complimentary to one another, it would make sense that they lost their power simply because they were separated in space and time

Hey Ashikai, I think you might've answered your own question about what Khaenriah did to invoke the wrath of the gods. If your theory about her collecting souls is accurate, then Rheindotter's blowing souls into people like Albedo might just be that "arragation" or w/e she mentioned. Imagine being in charge of handling/storing/cleaning souls and suddenly someone starts leaching souls from the pool so to speak? Not sure if that makes sense or not but it was the first thing that came to mind when i was listening to the vid.

I back then had a little theory about that cubes are the most pure form of an element (which is why the Hypostases look like that) The unknown god probably has none of the 7 Elements that would be the purest form of this element- I like to combine your theory with mine when you think that elemental energy flows through ley lines and and stores memories like data- But that's just a little thought

@@lyoinsertname5802 That could also explain why the traveller can use all the elements. If those cubes represent the elements, that would mean they got swallowed by the elements. For the cubes to swallow them whole and spit them out in Teyvat, they'd have to somewhat connect to the cubes. Maybe the Hypostasises are connected to the statues (they clearly hold some sort of elemental power) so maybe those cubes are the base form of a Hypostasis, before they connect to an element, basically what if the traveller somewhat merged with the cubes causing the statues to react to the hypostasis granting it an element. Another thing is that every hypostasis has a color which represents their element, if they are the same being but just variations, wouldn't it make sense if the accesories changing color depending on the element is the work of the hypostasis. A hypostasis doesn't have hands, so they wouldnt possible be able to touch a statue, so maybe the archons are the ones connecting them or something like that, but the traveller has a body, so you can touch the statue, meaning you would manually be able to connect with statues. Prob a bit far fetched, but if it's true that would explain a lot. Maybe the elemental sight ability is triggered by being connected to an element, more than a normal person with a vision would be. Maybe those other people with elemental sight have some degree of natural element abilities (but at a level where a vision is still needed)

@@riskyworks Hmm.. i think this is a little far fetched too. Though Hypostases have the same shape and form the most important aspect of them are their elements. I'm suspecting that elemental energy of a specific element arises on different levels. The Hypostases look the same but they are able to change forms like the hydro hypostasis. The hydro one can also summon slime like being aligned with itself to come and heal. The element with typical healing properties is hydro. though there probably are Hypostasis with healing abilities i don't think they can change their entire structure on molecular level to "switch" Elements. Further i think it's no coincidence that the Hypostases are there and spawn anew at their places. they ALL Arise at these weird circles and i think these are access points from Leylines to gather elemental energy. There was an inactive Electro Hypostasis in Inazuma and i think it could heal itself by going back to the circle. But I'm probably digressing. That's my take on cubes

When we fight osial and drop the jade chamber on him when it explodes there is 2 cubes as well but only visible when watching frame by frame that might be the sustainer of heavenly principal protecting the mc for whatever reason

If the twins have a different connection between their soul and body could the clothes have something to do with it? The traveler has avoided changing clothes and the abyss sibling hasn't changed their clothes since the beginning. Also parts of it shine when we change elements, at the start of the game the traveler has no light coming from them, until they get to the statue of the seven

I think this is just a game thing. In reality Aether or Lumine would stink to high heaven.

The weird thing is the twins were about to leave, so if the Sustainer wanted them gone she could literally have done nothing. If she wanted them dead probably could have done that. It seems like she wanted them running around Teyvat massively disrupting the status quo.

I always thought turning people into monsters was there way of keeping the rest of humanity busy and reliant on the visions so that they don’t question the “gods” if they even are with what we learn recently. Kind of unrelated but I feel like Celestia doesn’t actually have a good understanding of the world order,what with destroying the branch’s on dragon spine and possibly the roots because of the cataclysm. And it seems that it’s ancient civilizations know and it makes me wonder if when creating teyvat to protect humanity there was a chosen people like how the Jewish people are Gods chosen people and they were the ones that really were in charged with protecting the tree. Don’t know just a thought.

Ooo i love this theory! ecpesially how they talk about a "gardener" in the Before sun and moon (pretty much the teyvat bible) and how much the ancient civilizations talk about seeds. And on top of that how the Abyss was looking for the Bible to prove that the gods are not from Teyvat and must've come from somewhere else, and with that it would make sense that either the gods are fully unaware of the tree or lack knowledge about it

This question’s weighed in my mind for a very long time now… can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the Sustainer! 110 minutes to go and counting…

I believe that twin wasn't teleported at the time of Khaenriah's destruction. Twin looked devastated like something very dear to him/her was taken away, he looked like he collapsed while mourning. Only explanation is that Twin was citizen of destroyed nation, and since they already knew Dainslaif (who seemed to be person with authority and responsibility of protecting nation) the twin I presume also was a higher up/ in close contact with higher up. (He/she also knew about curse put on Dainslaif for not being able to protect Khaenriah, he may be present there when it was done.) Also they were canonically friends, mentioned in quest. (Just assuming: Traveller and their sword was glowing golden in cut scene, what else is golden and glowing? The core of Ruin guard & Ruin hunter! Where was it invented Khaenriah! What was Dainslaif looking for Glowing core, coincidentally we also meet twin in same quest. He might have used his other worldly knowledge+powers to create those machines. ...........Day and night machine in Enkanomiya also glows too....).

The entire theory makes a lot of sense and i agree with everything but i just wanna differ on the part that Susty wouldnt kill. I feel like she knows that trying to kill them wouldnt put them back in the death and rebirth closed loop that is Teyvat because the twins are actually immortals, hence why capturing them was the best option. As the abyss twin states. "Time is all we ever had" That or they are the missing god of time that the game mentions lmao.

I honestly didnt think they looked like eyes or fruit, i just thought they were fancy chain links cause she was chaining the siblings to teyvat to keep them from escaping.

There was also a cube when the jade chamber exploded, it shows up for like 1 frame but it was very weird for there to be a random cube in that scene.

That cube might've been caused to appear by Zhongli/the Adepti and not Paimon - we see cubes (geo cubes) when resonating with the Geo Statue of the Seven, and the cubes appearing in the Jade Chamber cutscene don't have features visible with which we could classify them as being the Sustainer style cubes Still, it's also possible that it was Paimon, just wanted to throw in a different perspective as I never see that brought up in the community

personally I think Rusty Miss Susty's cube powers are just 1. modelled after Herrscher of Void and 2. spatial manipulation. She uses them to capture, contain, and transfer. The Arianrhod and bird soul concept seemed too much of a stretch but the colombarium idea makes a whole lot more sense than the panopticon theory imo

This is such an interesting theory, but it also begs the question: why were some people kept alive? Dainsleif and presumably Rhinedottir are immortal, but they know the truth (at least Rhine does). Shouldn’t they have been contained too? Skirk from Childe’s story is also presumably Khaenri’ahn but she’s still around, so why aren’t they hilichurls/abyss-lings? Did some escape it somehow and made an asylum where Kaeya was actually born into? Did the survivors know or did something warranting immortality rather than soul imprisonment? The fate of the Khaenri’ahns has plagued me for so long and I can’t wait for more information for you to make a theory on

I think dainsleif escaped Khaenri’a before the destruction, that’s why our twin told us « he’s my enemy, he failed to protect Khaenria » and maybe, because he was punished for that

The shattered pieces could be broken pieces of memories, hence the travellers constellations items being called "memories of xxxxx"

Damn, I think you've hit the nail in the head about the cubes, specially the bit about Susty not being able to contain the twins' soul. If you look at the part where she 'cubes' the sibling of your choice (Aether, in this video, at 17:42), you can see her expression changing for a couple frames where she looks surprised, as if something went wrong (again?). This could also explain why the opposing sibling (Lumine in this video) woke up before Aether and already had all/most of her power: Susty used her standard amount of power to contain Lumine, but after seeing it fail, she went all out to contain Aether, and maybe she looked surprised because even with that, it still wasn't enough to contain their soul. This could also work with your Paimon Starkeeper theory, if the siblings are actually stars, they wouldn't have a soul to begin with.

The "eye" symbol also appears in another Mihoyo game. A character called Seele has it on her chest.

Wait wait wait wait wait wait, hold on, I just had a breakthrough and literally had to get out of bed to share it. So. According to this theory, the boxes are meant to contain souls, away from their bodies. To grossly simplify it. And I kinda rolled with it. Partly because other games having similar elements just make it make sense to me, buuuuut... The concept has already been shown to us. There is a place we have been that holds someone's soul, separated from their body. The Plane of Euthymia. It's not an actual box I don't think, but it works in the same way as these, or the columbarium. The body does its thing, the soul chills in there, but can control it -unlike the prisoners of the boxes I imagine-. Also, this too couldn't contain the traveler's powers since they work just as fine when all other visions (and possibly divine powers "functioning as per Teyvat's rules" in general) are scrambled. If the conflict with the Raiden Shogun and visits to this plane are a way to introduce us to that concept in another context, then that is... Very good stuff indeed.

You're theory about the statues of the seven being pieces of the traveler is interesting because it could explain why the traveler has an affinity to the elements and how the traveler can teleport to them as they are part of the travelers soul. It could also explain what the teleport waypoints are, monuments made from pieces of the travelers soul created long ago. there are also symbols on the waypoints that are similar to the patterns on the clothes of aether but that may be reaching a bit.

16:00 I remembered something about this.. I think it was from the anime Magi.. One of the characters said this : "Rukh is the home of souls. While we live, it is every man for them self. Ive always thought of her cubes as a small space. I dunno how to explain it but its much like the HoV being able to create voids and like domain expansions in jujutsu kaisen. And since these space r basically voids, and voids r a lot of times associated with black holes, her cubes can contain information (not in a linguistic sense but in a scientific one). Like how was she able to take apart the travellers bodies without actually tearing them. She just put the information of their bodies in different spaces and then can rearrange them back to bring them back to their original form.

There's one other place we might potentially have seen Sustainer's boxes-- I've heard that, if you slow down the frames a lot while Ningguang is dropping the Jade Palace on Osial, the black and white impact frame displays the boxes. This has come up when theorizing about Paimon and Sustainer's connection, potentially including shared powers or even using these powers to protect us. Perhaps the monsterification feature can be toggled on and off, or being diminished in power and stature like Marchosius, Paimon presently lacks that power altogether. I played the video below at .25 speed, and around 3:25 you could indeed see some dark cubes, tho they lack details. Could potentially have just been the Jade Chamber breaking apart, but considering how Paimon and Sustainer look similar, and Paimon's own mysterious origins, it is something I like to keep in mind. 11:20 don't you think that the symbol on the cubes might be a chain? Looks a lot like chains to me and also goes well with the concept of encapturing entities. You "chain" people when you want them to remain in their "prison cell" and, well, the unknown god does put people in "prison cells" in a way. Upd: oh, people already pointed it out. 😅

In addition to susty's "eye/fruit" symbol, i think it is very similar to the aranara's related symbols we see all around sumeru. I mean, it does make total sense if it actually was a irminsul fruit, since the aranara are something close to a irminsul fruit themselves. Moreover, susty's powers may be connected to memory as the aranara powers are. This "soul stealing/managing" magic she"used" on hilichurls and Lumine/Aether may also be something memory related. In Sumeru we discovered that every living thing in Teyvat turns into memory and returns to the world tree. Living beings = memory

When you say the abyssal twin collected their shattered pieces faster than the traveller makes sense as the abyssal twin was contained while holding their sword whereas the traveller was contained without it.

It's complicated so it's taking me a while to sort out thoughts. That's why I'm putting this one out in the meantime. In any case, a lot of this video is foreshadowing my thoughts on the primordial one. My last two theories are talking a lot about Souls.... ;)

A thought came to my mind while exploring Enkanomiya: the chests look the same in every region. It may be because mihoyo got lazy or for simplicity’s sake but an inazuman treasure is bound to look different from a treasure from monstadt, right? same for ruins all over teyvat, they have the same style. isn’t it weird?

Wasn’t it said that a long time ago teyvat used to be one great civilization? There was no 7 nations just one great nation right? Maybe that can partly explain it, either that or they’re just lazy like you said lol

One more thing regarding lumine's attachment to Khaenri'ah and why she went to side with the abyss is also visible in the We will be Reuinited scene where Khaenri'ah is destroyed. We can see her expression from which we can tell that she was closely connected with Khaenri'ah. Her companionship with Dainsleif, further proves this. She most likely sided with the abyss because they were the people of Khaenri'ah who she loved and voved for revenge against the gods, as per her expression in the scene we can tell Khaenri'ah was something largely important to her or loved by her. She made the biased decision to side with the abyss and go against the gods for revenge. This might be common information but just pointing it out. Let me know if anything is out of place or if something doesn't line up cause I made this theory on the spot when I saw the vid and her expression popped out as interesting to me. :P

I have the perfect theory about what happens in the initial cutscene. It's basically a boss fight, I know, sounds obvious, but it literally is that, and I am sure it will be one even from a gameplay standpoint. What happens is, you basically are at the end of the journey and you lose against the Heavenly Principles, but she's unable to kill you, or it isn't her intention to do so at all, that's something I don't know. Losing against here basically brings you back in time, and the journey that the traveler is going through is a samsara. It repeats itself because you are unable to defeat her before she takes you back in the timeline. She is something like a higher dimensional being that is able to interact not only with space, but with space-time itself. And as Lumine said "we always had enough time", she didn't referred to the fact that they are completely immortal, but more so to the concept of living in this loop continuously without being affected by the passing of time from a physical standpoint. The only metric that the traveler can use to make some assumptions is the fact that after memorable events, he has deja-voos in the form of headaches. I'm 90% sure that the only thing that really changes over time is the fact that you have this "attacks" of abyssal corruption, like that time you meet Scara in the delusion factory and they will continuously increase in frequency. The fact that time is so fucked up in Genshin is clearly noticeable by the fact that the game is made in such way that you only have the illusion of choice, but in reality you are supposed to make ALL choices, you need to do EVERYTHING possible, take ALL choices, even multiple times. Go through the same paths and change just a little bit of things here and there to obtain different outcomes like in the hangout events. You necessarily have to do ALL the dailies that the game needs you to do, otherwise you won't get the ones that count as world quests and you won't complete all the reputation quests. Matter of fact if you skip a daily, the game will refresh the others but it will ask you againt to do the one you skipped again and again for multiple days in a row. It is a very subtle concept, but al things points at it, everything hints to the fact that we going through a journey that is more like a series of timelines one on top of the other, and from a gameplay perspective it could seem that we are going forward in time on a path, but in reality we are covering a ton of different timelines at the same time. Seems obvious that certain events are just inevitable... the stars are able to "predict" them... but there are little things that are cracking the matrix, and during the playtrought the game hints that there are multiple choices that are being made multiple times at the same time. I know, it sounds fuc*ed up. But they love to fuc* with our minds so it's reasonable for Hoyo to write something like this.

The first thing that strikes me after reading this isTraveller's "flashbacks" after defeating Signora and leaving Tenshukaku. Those headaches, blurred vision etc. It was explained by many as the "reaction on someone's death right in front of you", but I felt that this scene was sus, too much attention is focused on it. And now it almost perfectly lines up with this theory

Given the fairly recent Chasm release, I'm genuinely curious about the circumstances of Halfdan's soul - a soul with a human appearance - appearing in front of Dain, the traveler, and paimon, before conversing with Dain and disappearing. And how it all ties into your theory of the sustainer's cubes possibly containing the souls of the people of Khanriah and one of your other theory videos about the ley lines, memories, and reincarnation (I apologize that I can't remember which video it was...😅)

I forgot if you mentioned this (great video by the way), but in the Tevyat Chapter Storyline Preview, Dainslef also mentions the quote "mortal arrogation" during the beginning of the trailer (around 0.40). Perhaps he was reflecting from the disaster at Khaenri'ah and that he already knew that mankind had committed arrogation. Anyways this was a very interesting video and I hope to see more!

When the sustainer is getting the traveler there's that quick look of shock on her face when she turned him into cube It's like something happened that wasn't supposed to so your theory might have some weight to it

after watching this vid my new headcannon is that the player is the soul of whichever traveler they've chosen anyway, it makes sense that Susty can't contain someone who wasn't born in Teyvat. It was also interesting to see that after turning Lumine into a cube, the cube became different and turned golden

One very small thing that felt kind of important (not very sure though)! In the "we will be reunited" quest, the Abyss twin specifically says "I have already traveled through this world. Once you reach the end of your journey as I did, you still see for yourself the true nature of the world." It always seemed to me that maybe the twins had a very identical journey through the seven nations, although during different timeline and that's the reason the game let's us choose a twin. Because, the path is one and the same, probably even cyclical. Like the Yin and the Yang! Light and Dark! Which reminds me, the true element of the twins are pure white light, judging by the parts of their appearances that reflects the equipped element. And the abyssal powers are shown by a dark, aetherial, liquid like 'thing'. This, I think, aligns with a previous theory of yours, where you theorized the twins could be equivalent to Lucifer or 'Light-bringer'. Now, the color white, in the real world, is the coagulation of all the seven colors in the visible spectrum. Could it be the case that, the white element(light probably) is the coagulation of all the seven elemental powers and that's the way for the twins to restore their formal power or element?! I'm sorry if that does not make any sense and I recognize that there are many holes in the theory. I love your videos and I would love to hear your thoughts on the twins' 'element' and its implications on the endgame of the story! Thank you!

since this video was released, there has been another instance of susty's cubes! when the traveler is knocked out by the incense shortly after arriving in sumeru, they hallucinate the irminsul tree and the previous dendro archon's last words. susty's cubes can be seen in the background, and some players glitched their way to the cubes. they're identical!

I always was stuck on why Sustainer stopped the siblings and I think, if we take your theory as a true, it might not be bc she assumes they are humans and she can't let them leave, she calls them outlanders, she knows about their journey, my guess is she contains them bc they were there during a cataclysm (I think our Mc mentioned that one of them woke up first and decided that they have to leave when the other woke up - correct me if I'm wrong) they wanted to leave but they potentially had the knowledge so she had to stop them from leaving to another world.

Yeah the outlanders thing is confusing. It's the one real flaw behind the "she thinks we're humans" argument, but I couldn't formulate a sound counter argument with it beyond "she calls us outlanders." You could argue that Khaenri'ahns could be considered outlanders since they're not technically from Teyvat. We just don't know enough yet for me to draw any conclusions... :'(

@@Ashikai you are right, The "Outlanders" is also a term that bugs me, Lumine says it in one of the trailers, she says "Outlanders do not belong in this world" what does she means? She seems to be an outlander, she means Celestia? since it seems to be from another world? (what about Alice? what is she? how can she travel than) also if she is one and she does not belong in this world, why bother with this world? They wanted to leave, were stopped ok but also they search for their home? and this thing about teleport points is still weird so all in all, still too much questions :( also does it mean that gnostic chorus is about Lumine and Aether? Was it originally their world or a parts of it being taken? Have to say about Kaeya tho with Albedo last story and the wooperflowers and this story that Klee tells us, now with your theory and Kaeya's stories about children, I think I will keep closer eye to every piece in game saying anything about his stories, I know he is sus but this is material for extra sus

I just wanna say that when Asmoday first summons the cube, it appears a golden-yellow with the corners being lighter. Similar to Zhongli’s cube that he holds in the statue of seven when we resonate with geo. It might just be a rock thing, but I doubt Hoyo didn’t do it deliberately since the cube looks so similar.

Thanks for another theory.. Interesting to consider the implications of the soul. I legitimately thought the symbols on the cube were Pokeballs, but i guess I've just got them on the mind. one thing I'd like to consider is that Abyss Mages were some of the upper echelons of Khanri'ah, and thus knew enough Khemia to leech elemental energy and memories from the Leylines, to replenish the void in their souls. Which is why they have ley line branches, as a foci. Hilichurls having no soul might also resonate with why they hate their faces.

I was bored one morning in genshin so i started looking into enemy descriptions and namecards and i got interested in the elemental specialist namecard and the rifthound descriptions i know you have heard about the light and dark elements theory so here is my take on it light and dark elements represent two entities the divine and the abyss divine being the light and abyss being the dark first i will start with light "Light can refract into countless colors, but people stop at seven because they're lazy to count. Perhaps the elements are like that, too." many people use this as a way to explain that there are more than just seven elements in teyvat which most likely is true but no one even mentions that light refracts into these colours, making light the base of all elements or light being all elements combined this makes the dark element the absence of all of the elements and light, making it a force, energy and power, but not an element as said in the description of one of the rifthounds "A beast with monstrous blood that is capable of eroding the boundaries of the world. "Gold" classified them as "Alfisol." They follow the encroaching abyss to devour the elements. Fortunately, there are few of them left now in this world." with their blood filled with abyssal energy they can devour and have res to any element, expect their own since they are elemental beings themselves causing the two forces to clash and when they are affected by their own element the get their res decreased for their own element btw, your theory was great you put a lot of work into it as always

the whole thing about light refracting countless colors and the elements being similar has me thinking that when the traveler regains their power and can use all 7 elements, they'll be able to use the "element" of light. i've always thought that twins' original power was something like light so this just adds more fuel to the fire!

The antlers & branches on the sustainer's torso, neck & upper legs are the same antler-like branches at the top of the tower in Enkanomiya (during the 3 realms gatewayy event) as well as cube shapes being found floating at the center of the day/night devices there (plus Zhongli's statue shows him holding one as a bonus). I wonder what all of this is about.

Miss Ashikai about the appearance of Susty's cubes would actually be 4 appearances because in Liyue's quest when the explosion appears if you look closely her cubes are also in the explosion!

It could also be that Susty here is in a very low social rank, and while some theorists say that Archons might be the lowest social rank in Celestia, there could always be more. You can think of Susty as a kind of Noelle. Noelle wants to be something more powerful and more generally respected than what she is at the moment. Susty could have a similar situation as well. She might beleive she is deserving of a higher rank, but nobody else thinks so. Like Noelle, she probably works really hard to refine her skills too, which makes her so powerful. In my opinion, if she was the true god, her opinion would be the final decision, so it doesn't quite make sense to see that she was completely alone. Although we know she could easily defeat the travellers, I don't think anyone would jump into battle alone with 2 people who travel through different worlds together, almost as a passtime. I don't think she would be stupid enough to go alone if she was the true god. Now her being the true god makes sense too, just not over here. Regarding the destruction of Kaenriyah, (idk how to spell :P) she might be a being of Celestia who is used for her ability to destroy, again, just like Noelle. Work shy knights were said to often delegate their work to her. So, for now Susty is probably working on her own. And she probably has a superiority complex, which is why she stepped in to take on the twins instead of getting help or just simply letting them leave. She does what she thinks is right. She might be a villain we have to actually fight later, which kind or sounds really obvious but, also, we can take a look at Venti. Some beleive that he hates Celestia, and wants to be truly free without responsibilities. Cut the freedom bit out, and we have a potential trait for Susty. She might hate that the other beings don't see the potential she sees in herself, so she rebels without them knowing. Just like Diluc and the darknight hero. The people of Mondstadt knew he was there, but they didn't know *who* it was. Then, like mentioned in the truly wonderful video, creation might not have been the bad thing, but it could be the discoveries that came *with* the creations that pissed Susty. The citizens of Kaenriyah (I spelled it wrong again so please bear with me TvT) might have discovered something that was only for the gods to know. No here's the catch. If the gods hated Kaenriyah, why did they curse them instead of killing them? Susty might be the most powerful at destruction, but the others had to have at least a *little* power too. This is where the possibility of Susty being the true god comes through. Again, in the lovely video, there is a connection between "Sustainer" and Susty's boxes. If she's the true god, the other gods don't have the right to kill, as a being above them has ordered them to simply, "contain". I think that in the late bits of the whole story, the citizens, souls and maybe the *forbidden knowledge* of Kaenriyah will be released, and that might be when we get to kill Susty. Maybe Celestia will then collapse, and I think some of the archons will help, especially Venti. The humans of Teyvat bring in their own heiarchy (Idk how this is spelled either) and somehow form into something like today's odern world. The archons will be nothing but myths, and Kaenriyah's knowledge will be spread all over. Ik this is really long and I'm sorry but have a nice day! :D Also, Great video, Ashikai!!

It makes sense that she assumed we were human, and applied containerization on the sibling. She then realized the box is weird, and quickly learned from it, thus applying a better box onto our best girl Traveler Lumine. In fact Sussy looks suspiciously expressionless and calculated, in the same way raiden’s doll looks. It is very possible that she isn’t a real heavenly entity, but a sustainer programmes to cull threat, leaving it for celestia to decide later. The Chamber of Guf theory is so cool because Genshin takes a lot from Evangelion and The Chamber of Guf plays big role there. If we assume that the Sustainer is one of Phanes' shades (Time, Space, Life and Death based on the artifact sets structure) and she manipulates human souls, she might be the God of Death then. (Previously I thought that she is the God of Space because she is based on the Herrscher of the Void who has space manipulation abilities.)

I’m personally coming off of FF14 Endwalker so I’m thinking that her cube snakes were abducting the people who gave up their ways of life in the face of the war as at first of course khanriah would fight back. After all the people had done nothing wrong why should they be filled with righteous anger against aggressive hunting gods? I mean, when has a ruling Dynasty ever told the truth to their people? I do believe that most khanriah citizens fought for their lives against the malicious magical monsters tearing their homes apart. How else would someone as powerful as Baal die unless she softened just a moment in combat. Knowing she cared deeply for the people of Inazuma as their direct ruler, she probably empathized with these strange humans. It cost her her life of course but we’ll only know if it’s worth it when we learn more. I do think Susty did not remove the souls from the people, at least not all of the souls if she did. We know thanks to Childe that time passes differently in the Abyss, and I’m under the assumption that either khanriahns were cast or escaped into the Abyss. We know there’s different forms available to people trapped in the Abyss based on what we can call ambition (oh hey we know this). There’s a specific reason after all that we see the heralds around but they’re like the upper crust and abyss mages are dotted all over the place, and only one individual is greater than the abyss heralds in both outright power and elemental manipulation. I believe over 500 years (more if you count the time dilation) the people of Khanriah were shaped by their ambitions into the abyss order we know today. Losing their human bodies but gaining untold elemental powers without the blessing or acknowledgement of celestias gods. And this may explain why Childe, an Allogene blessed by the gods, awoken to his ambition within or even before his training in the Abyss could gain true monstrous power at the cost of his human body. Albeit for a time, he knows he can’t keep it going but is it bc he’s afraid he’ll lose himself to it or does he simply require further training in the Abyss?

okay, but if susty contained the peoples' souls in K'ahnria because they disrupted the natural flow of leylines and souls returning there.... And now Celestia is getting ascending vision bearers disrupting the natural flow again... Would that make Celestia the enemy of Susty as well?

Why does Asmoday's expression change into one of surprise a second before capturing Aether? I feel like she didn't mean to capture him with cubes different from the ones she captured Lumine with.

**CHASM EVENT SPOILER don't read this comment if you haven't done it yet** Mentioning this cause I would like to know thoughts about it in correlation to this video's theory... I really liked the idea that the hilichurls are bodies without souls, and that Susty has them contained instead. However, now that we witnessed the archon quest in the chasm with Dain and got a bit more context, watching this video reminded me of how we see Halfdan's SOUL coming out of his body after he blocked the curse removing device thingie. He supposedly took the full force of the device's effect to himself, which might mean that, while he didn't survive the process, the curse DID get removed. So THEN, if Susty had Halfdan's soul with her among others in her lil cubes, how would we have witnessed Halfdan's soul here in the chasm after his passing? The only way I could consider both this happening and the video's theory still holding up is that the cubes, while they do contain the souls, arent with Susty herself, but are within the Khaenrian's bodies, kind of like blocking the soul's connection to the body. Dainsleif does mention that the "curse" has become a PART of them so.... Thoughts anyone?

I thought those circle things on susty's cubes looked like chains, which follows the theme of containment as well since chains are used to contain someone/things. Also susty acting as a container of Teyvat on behalf of a higher being reminds me so much of GAIA's functions from the Horizon series as well, she's not a God but acts on behalf of her creators to make sure everything is balanced and as intended in their world. If there are any external threats (like HADES in HZD), she has the prerogative to contain and fix the issue at all costs. And funny thing is..genshin only has one character that is not really from the game but from a collaboration, Aloy, which is literally from the Horizon series! Knowing how Hoyo tends to make parallels between their games like Honkai with Genshin (to the point where sometimes even multi verse theories are created), who's to say that the Genshin x Horizon collaboration doesn't have a deeper meaning to it!

The more I learn about Khaenri'ah and the heavenly principles, the more i almost feel like im fighting on the wrong side. Not that the people of Teyvat or Archons deserve punishment for Khaenri'ah, it's Celestia who deserves that. I more so just feel bad having to fight when I feel like we have the same enemy.
