There is a recall of the 2023 V100 for missing bushings on the rear shock. I don’t know exactly what your previous problem was but I wanted you to know this. Haven’t felt any excess gear lash but I will check it out overall it’s a great bike. I’ll be adding some handlebar weights to the cure vibration of right side grip. My only complaint

My swingarm issue is different from the shock recall. It was caused by the swingarm pivot bushings having too much clearance with the pin that holds it all together. I had new bushings made and it's much more stable at high speeds.

I like how you got to the point and didn't waste time working up to the problem. Sorry about your problem though.

My 2008 Breva 1100, which I still ride and love, has this same LASH- hugely annoying. If I'm not mistaken these motorcycles do not have a cush-drive, as the older Guzzi's had, and this is largely to blame. I'd think they would sort this out technically

The V100 has a cush drive between the engine and clutch. I believe it's an issue with the how dogs engage, seems like they are wearing prematurely.

Unfortunately, I'd say that that is pretty standard.

So what's the issue you are having? Is it locking up? Is the transmission growling? Did you see excessive metal shavings in the transmission fluid? I noticed you "said" it was tighter when it was new before the new shifter, did you measure it before? What would even make you measure the transmission gear lash when new? Did you log the movement you had when new? If you think the gears are prematurely wearing then there will be a significant amount of metal shavings in the transmission fluid. FWIW , I went out and measured my 2002 BMW K1200RS w/126,000 miles and 1st thru 4th gears are 2-1/2" movement with 5th and 6th coming in at 3". So if your transmission oil has no excessive metal shaving in it I believe you may not have a problem at all and you're experiencing normal break-in. If this is in fact the case you're just scaring potential new buyers. I suggest providing more info on your possible issue.

@@_JimS Gear lash is getting progressively worse in only 3rd and 4th gears. The transmission felt really good for the first 8000 miles or so. It had broken in nicely by about 3000 miles and everything was smooth with very little drive lash in all gears. Now at almost 15000 miles there is significantly more lash in 3rd and 4th than the other gears (as felt going on/off throttle). There's enough lash in these gears that the function/timing of the quickshifter is suffering. There's also a problem with the neutral gate not working when shifting down from 2nd to 1st. The neutral gate issue came on suddenly. I felt a big crunch and got a false neutral a while back (it happened in one of my videos, a few minutes into the really long one). Since then this keeps happening but without the crunch. Never had a false neutral until that incident. My bike also consistently pulls to the left. It needs considerably more counter steering pressure for right turns. I tried loosening the fork tubes in the clamps then torqued them back down, but no improvement. Then there's the problem with the swingarm pivot wobble that the dealer blew off. I still feel this in fast sweeping corners. I suspect it's also why the bike pulls to the left. I have been getting occasional crank position errors on cold starts. These reset every time the key is turned off and hasn't repeated when it's been with the dealer. So they just pretend I'm making it up. There is also considerably more valve noise and heat coming from the left cylinder. This was dismissed by the technician as "normal Guzzi character" but he also said he's brand new to Guzzis. Hopefully the clutch oring recall will fix the issues im having with the hydraulic clutch as well. I've been having intermittent issues with the clutch since day one that the dealer also blew off. ...as I stated elsewhere, I think I got a lemon. I also have this crappy/inexperienced technician at my local dealer. I have heard of most of these issues on other V100s and they were being fixed without much fuss, but the technician at this dealer seems to ignore or dismiss everything I tell him.

Wow. Such a beauty but to hear lack of support from dealer and the manufacturer is horrible.

@@charlespoelmans8758 yes, I reported to the dealer and made an appointment for the 9th of July. I'm also noticing a chain slapping sound in the left cylinder lately and some intermittent crank position error codes on startup.

@@ridepastu1418 The vast majority of owners I chat with online have no issues, so I think I'm just a bit unlucky (and picky 🧐)... I'm still very much in love with this bike and plan on keeping it for a very long time.
