I have been beach fishing as a teenager so this is a compatition I can get behind. Football, tennis, golf all boring. Throwing a weight as far as you can, fun.

Never seen experienced surf anglers use gloves and hold the line like a boat rod for casting. Tripple Double step and hold the bail chances of a line break is high but gets you over those first set's along side the kite angler's....

For the diameter of line they can use: Feeder is 0.18mm Carp rods are 0.25mm as the thinnest

are they casting with noodles. back it the 70s & 80s i would use my every beach caster (4-6oz and i had its bigger 5-7 brother) and it would be one of the lightest action rods there🇬🇧- got 200yds with a 5oz but i would usually use a 4oz casting competition or not- did layback off the rocks,pendulum if enough room, and back cast with a 15foot south african thing.

És azt ki hiszi el, hogy dobóelőke nélkül lehet dobni ekkorát 100-130g súllyal? Hogyne lehetne használni előtétet… feederesek 0,18-0,20-0,22es fonott dobóelőtétet használnak szerintem és minél vékonyabb főzsinórt 0,18-0,20. Bot hosszának 2-3x, de legtöbben azt nézik hogy meglegyen a zászló és 5-6 menet a dobon… Dobó előtét nélkül szakadna minden monofil 0,18-0,25ig. Vastagot hiába tennének fel, mert annak meg iszonyat nagy lenne az ellenállása, azzal nem menne messzire💁‍♂️

Természetesen lehet dobóelőkét használni, idézet a versenyszabályzatbó: "A dobáshoz használható előtét zsinórnak (dobóelőke) fonott és monofil zsinór egyaránt engedélyezett. Hossza minimum 6 méter és szakítószilárdsága minimum 40 lb lehet. Az előtét zsinórnak élénk színűnek (pink, orange, neon zöld etc.) kell lennie!"
