Great video as always ! Little tip/trick I learned for anyone having problems with the wiggle room and or stability on their liner cartridges .. you can actually separate the cartridges fairly easy and put a slight downward bend in the needle bar just like you would with a traditional needle for a coil machine and the cartridge pops right back together just make sure you here the click ! Really helps with needle stability on those looser cartridge casings .

Would you use these on a client? I usually run with 7rl or 9rl biggest is 11rl. Then an assortment of rm and rs I have been looking for a cheaper back up

Hey Brandon, I wanted to ask if you could help to understand why I'm more consistent with smaller liners then bigger ones. For instance I use a 7rl looks great then I use a 9rl on same voltage as the 7 and when using a 9rl it's inconsistent and it has cut the fake skin before. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Try adjusting your hand speed. If its cut up, it's likely that you are going too slow for that voltage. So you can either drop the voltage or speed up your hand speed

I would love to learn on my own, but it’s not legal for me to scratch on real skin at home (and I wouldn’t want to without a proper studio). However, if I approached a shop in my area to try and get an artist position having only fake skin experience and no formal apprenticeship, I would not only be laughed out of the shop but probably blacklisted in town for attempting to learn on my own. How are others learning on their own actually getting hired?? With no real skin experience, a shop would still have to voluntarily observe and mentor you for a while anyway, but at that point wouldn’t they rather just apprentice you from the start rather than take on someone who learned from the internet? I’m having trouble with the logistics and reality of both teaching yourself yet still being able to find work at a shop that would apprentice you the rest of the way and ignore your at-home learning. Does anyone have any personal stories or experience on doing this? What happened? How did local shops react to you having taught yourself but not tattooed on real skin? 🙏

People actually tattoo on actual skin and not just fake skin. We in fact even tattoo on ourselves or friends and family. Here in Poland tattoo shops will ask for your portfolio and well previous experience is appreciated but if you learn on your own without any apprenticeship it’s still okay, you just gotta show them that you are worthy and also talented because they won’t hire anybody. You also need to know how to draw because without it it might be hard, so try practicing drawing every day and eventually move onto a tattoo machine and fake skin and once you get comfortable with needle depth, lines, hand speed etc., ask someone if you could give them a small tattoo or tattoo your leg (that’s what I did at first) ☺️
