Tae loves old style jazz/crooner style music and so this was a really good representation of how chill and laid back his choice of music was going to be.... Taehyung is a Bing Crosby fan. So a lot of his vocals are inspired by that admiration. He left a bit of an old movie, “High Society” featuring Bing Crosby & Louis Armstrong for ARMY one post. I’m a huge jazz fan & a classic musical film fan. Dancing Cheek To Cheek is from a famous Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movie. I’m in heaven with this entire episode.

V really loves good music and he likes to help promoting so many small indie singers by recommended their song or doing a collab. V also has another collab song "Wherever U R" with UMI, another small indie singer. Tae is delightful. Those buttery baritone vocals are delicious! And I agree the company has always encouraged them to be who they are which is actually opposite other idol groups who really choose them to look and sing more like one another. BH did the opposite with BTS. Sucess in individuality.

When I first saw Cheek to Cheek I thought the same thing as I do now. How frustrating is it that the voracious Korean Idol rumor mill kept the two performers from taking the song's final minute to the next level. I wanted them to directly face each other, get closer and cap off a wonderful duet by totally singing to each other. This is Cheek to Cheek. But Korean social media and press which dissect even the slightest facial expression or hug, especially between males and females or between the crowned "world's most handsome man' and anyone, prevented artistry that V as a Jazz aficionado in my mind would have otherwise done. His affection for Jazz is well known. I wanted him to beat Idol behavioral constriction and let his love of the music go all in.

Too very traditional Jazz songs the second Song is the Classic Cheek to Cheek written by the late great Irvine Berlin in 1035 f for the awarding winning black and White Film called Top Hat where Fred Astaire and Ginger Roger's where the star who both sang and danced to this song. It's from my favourite old Black and White Film and was my late mother faviourite. I've often sung it in jazz clubs in the past.

My recollection was Fred Astaire singing it to Ginger Roger's in " Top Hat"( I was brought up on Broadway musicals!). It's called "Cheek to Cheek" by Irving Berlin 1934(?)5).
