Meet Saad Alam Khan, a remarkable 24-year-old queer Muslim, currently serving as the Programme Associate: Adolescent and Youth (UNV) at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in India. With a background in social development and a passion for youth leadership, public health, rural education, and gender & sexuality, Saad is a trailblazer as the first openly queer UNV personnel in India.
In this talk, Saad shares his journey, focusing on promoting the health and wellbeing of young people in India with a special emphasis on gender inclusivity. Recognized with the Youth Leader Award in 2021 by the World Youth Leaders Organization, Saad has represented LGBTQ+ issues on both national and global platforms, collaborating with esteemed organizations such as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, UNICEF, and G-20.
Join us as Saad breaks barriers, advocates for inclusivity, and continues to make a significant impact on the representation of the LGBTQ+ community in India.

नमस्कार दोस्तो!
जोश Talks का मानना है कि देश के हर युवा में काबिलियत है कुछ करने कि और कुछ बनने की। लेकिन कुछ Situations हमें इस काबिलियत को बहार निकालने नहीं देती, जिनसे हमारा जोश थोड़ा कम हो जाता है। काफी लोग एक ऐसी Situation या Confusion में होते है कि वो वहां से निकल नहीं पाते और अपनी काबिलियत को दबा देते है और वो Situation होती है हमारी Sexual Orientation या Gender Identity और इस ही situation से हमें लड़ना सिखाना चाहता है जोश talks एक बड़े भाई की तरह !
चाहे वो situations हमारी पढ़ाई को लेकर हो, UPSC Exam को लेकर हो या किसी महिला के लिए domestic violence हो यां किसी के लिए अपनी Sexual Orientation हो ! हमें जिंदगी में आगे बढ़ने के लिए जो भी परेशानियां आती है, जोश Talks एक बड़े भाई की तरह इन problems में हमारे साथ है !
हो सकता है कि हमारे लिए हमारी sexual identity को accept करना एक problem हो, या अकेलापन, harassment, या फिर homophobia, या face कर रहे है Family Problem, या Gender dysphoria ! इन problems को face करने के लिए और लड़ने के लिए जोश talks लाया है जोश talks पतंग । इस channel में आयेंगे ऐसे लोग जो ऐसी ही situations में रहे है और फिर भी आगे बढ़ रहे है ! हम सुनेंगे ऐसी ही लोगो की कहानी जोश talks पतंग में !
जोश Talks पतंग के माध्यम से, हम कहना चाहते हैं - "हम अकेले नहीं हैं!" हर किसी ने कुछ ना कुछ ऐसा Feel किया है और यह बिलकुल Normal है,इस सफर में, हमें अपनी क्षमता को दबाने की जरूरत नहीं है। हम सब अलग हैं, और यही हमारे लिए हमारी ताकत है, हमें हारना नहीं है जीवन में!
अपनी Sexuality की वजह से हम कई ऐसी Situation और Confusion मैं रहते है की हमारे अंदर खुद से लड़ाई चल रही होती है। हम खुद से लड़ाई जीत भी जाए तो दूसरी लड़ाई, दोस्तों से, परिवार से और समाज से शुरू होती है। जोश talks हमे बताना चाहता है कि, इस लड़ाई में हम अकेले नही है !
