It's a real shame that Sraak gets killed off so soon. I was hoping to see more of his rivalry with RAAM. Not everyday we get to see a Locust that is/was just as badass (and big) as RAAM.

For the people wondering about locust ranks here how it is layed out Uzil= high general Zamil=general Theron=commander Krav=captain Vold=lieutenant Vurl=sergeant Maag=private Ketor=high priest Kantus=monk There is also queen and high scientist amongst rank but these two dont have a locust surname as the holders of the title myrrah and ukkon respectively are both relatively human and can speak tyran language.

Gears of war Loré is so intresting and awesome. I really wanna listen to more gears of war Lore

I would love a prequel game where you actually get a feel of the Locust. Like, I didn't even know they spoke like normal people until now. They remind me of the covenant from Halo so I think there is a big chunk of story they can put in a game here.

Instead of making gears 4 and 5, they should have made a locust prequel game about the locust civil war against the lambent before E-Day

Braden smook I disagree based on what we’ve seen in this video

I actually like how Raam is loyal to the Queen and cares for his race. But for Uzil Skaak he does not care for the Queen he just cares for himself has no experience to become a true genreal. This why I always prefer Raam then Uzill Skaak this makes Raam even more badass and rember the quote SERVE THE QUEEN.

This is why I like RAAM what a badass

This is all fun and stuff, but you are missing the fact that the locust are a hivemind, so they are connected to eachother, meaning they cannot simply lie to one another and the queen can always look into everyones brain.

Raam was 11ft uzil was 19ft

For everyone bringing up Karn, no he wasn't in complete control of the locusts military like RAAM was. He was just a military leader in charge of leading the locust on another front of Sera. In this comic it is shown that the Locust respect both strength and good leadership and Karn was shown to be kind of a pushover since he was just about to let it slide when one of his men didn't obey him (RAAM stepped in and killed the Grub) and he basically got pucked by RAAM into going along with his plan. Point is Karn wasn't as efficient as RAAM in leading his troops and he didn't have much of a backbone

They need a gears game were we are the locust against the Lambent. Maybe even make a rebel group of locusts against the queen which would be awesome. But it would need to have customizations for your character. Just for character fun.

I find it ironic how the locust have what we as a species lack. Harmony and unity. They fight for their kind and see no difference on eachother despite many of them having having different features. Their are flaws of course but not as many as humans possess.

I think when Lambent are killed there bodies sometimes fall to the ground and don't explode. Sometimes they explode but Lambent always explode when the player puts down the Lambent attackers.

Why does uzil and Theron guards wisper opposed to the locusts.

They needed to keep Sraak alive for longer period to see how he plays out, this would have been a great story for Gears judgement rather than playing Baird you played at Raam and Skorge in their campaign👍🏽

Number one, it's funny reading what the locust say because I never imagined them talking like that, and two; sraak was a big son of a bitch, cuz raam was already noticably big, but in the book sraak was two times bigger than raam... Put him next to a brumak for an accurate representation

Comics don't have "dedicated networks" or lag that B.S. you...... Hence why it's fluent. Also it could be in his language. In Gears 2, Baird finds that the Locust have a language and tries to decipher it

because humans are rather stupid and would probably have perceived the locust as a threat anyways. by not contacting humans they had the element of surprise which they needed on E -day, don't forget that the locust were losing the war against the lambert and if the humans were aware of the locust and decided to arm up thus the locust lose the element of surprise they surely would have been eradicated.

Karn was never a general. While he did come up with the plan for Emergence Day, he was not part of the military and was instead part of Myyrah's council. It's the same way with Skorge who was never a general but a sort of religious medium for the Locusts. Only RAAM and Uzil were actual generals.

Karn and RAAM were vold (lieutenant) under Sraak when he was uzil(high general) during their lambent war before e-day and skorge was a regular kantus(monk). Sraak got demoted to vold and RAAM was appointed the new uzil shortly before e-day, RAAM then himself promoted karn to the rank of Zamil(general). Skorge got promoted to the rank of ketor (high priest) when he learned to control the riftworm, then eventually became the new uzil upon RAAM death.

@@oggregster Ahh so Karn was the Zamil. Yeah I remember Skorge became ketor after Vrol. So basically during the lore and the game sequences that follow the Uzil order was Sraak, Raam then Skorge . I wish they used more of the lore characters in the series like Gorza but I get a lot was written after it.

There is a difference. It was all the humans fault from the beginning. Their greed for resources and emulsion braught war to the pieceful Locust world. Humans digging too deep into Seras earth and created the Lambent.

How can humans be blamed for that? Myrrah was a massive hypocrite, calling humans warlike, aggressive, etc. while being exactly that, but 10x worse! The locust are cool, but they deserved extinction, after all they did.

Actually, this is how it goes. Imulsion discovered, begins the Pendulum Wars. Humans infected, experiments to find a cure fails, the Sires are created. Dr. Niles and other scientists take the Sires to some tunnels under Jacinto. Sires evolve, the Locust Horde is born. Locusts infected, they start to loose the war with Nexus under siege. Myrrah and Adam make a deal, Adam doesn't delivers his part, Locust attack the surface in need to survive.

no, because gears of war is since Emergence day, by the time that Uzil Sraak was discharged of his command, and Vold Raam became the Uzil and commander! so yeah... Sraak was dead by GoW 1

I am pleased with our progress. I understand they have found another squad. Our strategy remains the same, cut off the head of the snake and the body dies. We will win this war, it's only a matter of time.
