Asami was just a guest vocalist for a few songs for UVERworld as she is also in the studio recordings too. The funny thing is that I started listening to UVERworld back since 2004 or 2005ish and when I heard Tokyo Midnight Sun around 2011ish I wondered who the female vocalist was. There wasn't much info on her. She was credited as "asami" in their CD booklets though. Fast forward to 2020, I found Lovebites and the mystery was solved!

Asami is more than an amazing vocalist, she is a lyricist for the awakening of humans to our own humanity.

It always was confusing for me how Asami went straight from Soul/R&B to Metal but being backing vocals for this group actually makes her journey make a lot more sense to me.

"It always was confusing for me how Asami went straight from Soul/R&B to Metal" It's because she didn't. She was a backing vocalist for VAMPS and UVERworld, and I think she still is. I know she's performed with them after LOVEBITES formed. The demo that landed her in LOVEBITES was a rock song.

Uverworld & Vamps are the mainstream popular rock bands in Japan. Asami has learned from them Rock entertainment, before joining LOVEBITES🎵

Asami, from singing less than a minute here to singing almost two hours and being the frontwoman of Lovebites in the concert “Five of a kind, Zepp Divercity, Tokyo 2020. Not bad, after all.

Asami did backing vocals for two or three bands but there is a clip of her performing 6 songs in total in a club setting with a small band. you can locate it on youtube if you type in 'Asami before Lovebites'. And the videos will pop up along with a couple of reactors videos as well. You can really hear how good a vocalist she is on these clips. Check it out. she sings a selection of covers. Asami was great, but it was sad to see her disappear. I know she was the backup singer, but they could have had her come back in to sing some more backing vocals later in the song. She deserves to be the front woman in a great band like Lovebites. She has a lot of talent.

Funny thing is.... Asami was never a "backup singer". She was meant for something greater.

We are all glad "Miho and the gang" rescued princess Asami from THIS! ( They were looking for a female Bruce Dickinson! )

Asami still has "Heavy Metal Band "LOVEBITES(ラヴバイツ)" Vocal🎙Chorus support ▷ AI. UVERworld. VAMPS. AK-69. AKB48.KAT-TUN.SEKAI NO OWARI.SE7EN" on her Twitter profile. That makes me wonder if she's still available to those groups as a backing singer, as in LB isn't her only gig, just her main gig.

@@PaleHorseShabuShabu Funny you should mention that. I think she did a show awhile back, with her old group. Not sure which one. I think it was a one-show gig. And it might have been in Osaka or Nagoya, I don't remember. So yeah, she might be doing more than just LOVEBITES.

@@TheCyberMantis Yes, I Remember seeing a few clips on KZread. I can't remember the name of the band but they had a female singer who played some guitar. I think it was filmed last August, didn't Lovebites film their Awake Again session in September or October?
