I love traditional Chuvash clothes very much! The beautiful song is full of oriental charm. Is it true that Chuvash people are descendants of Huns? Greetings from Taiwan.

Yes. It has been proved definitely Chuvash-Bulgarians - are the Huns. More, are the southern Huns. Bulgarians name - the "five tribes (horns)" of southern Huns - known in the annals of China in Shanxi to 216 years. It is an undeniable connection to the Asian Huns with the European Huns. Etymology of the Bulgarians - the "five tribes (horns)," only with the Chuvash language (the only language R-L type of Turkic languages).

huns... one can't prove direct lineage, Huns were conquerors and were multi-ethnic but had no chance to build a lasting culture. however, it is argued the leaders of the Huns could have spoken an Oghuric (Bulgar, Avar, Khazar) language. Chuvash folktales, fables and epics don't mention Huns at all, but the topic is popular with contemporary writers and artists.
