    Thanks brother appreciate it👍. Still trying to dial the mic in. I end up clipping the sound a bit when I talk louder. I have a Rode wireless mic as well, but still havnt gotten around to trying it yet. Too much new gear and so much to learn. In my video you watched with the train museum in it, I have a crazy character that shows up behind the smoke at the beginning. The artist that took my sketch and did it professionally for me is from Norway👍. Found him on Instagram and hired him for some jobs.

    Yes I haven't been doing much on here this season. main reason is a brutal storm blew through about 4 months ago and absolutely flattened a lot of areas over 100's of square km if not thousands. Trees are down everywhere. Some people riding that day were stranded for 2 days. Many trails are still blocked! So cut off from many areas still! But do have some footage of the damage done. I should throw a bit of clips together. Also been side tracked a lot this summer. Not a lot of miles on unfortunately. Hope you are doing well man👍

    I did this same trip July 24/25 with my wife and our two dogs. It's one of our favourite memories from this past summer. We plan to do a little more scouting in the area, so that we have a good plan B if that spot is taken. We are outfitted for backpacking, so we have some compact gear, which really helped us fit most of our stuff in two 80L totes stacked in the trunk. We also went simple with food, by just packing dehydrated pouch meals. Happy Trails.

    Cool👍. There is another one very close by. Leave that site, turn left. Continue straight onto the the "grassy trail" instead of following the beaten trail off to the right. Almost as nice as that one. And there is a 3rd as well but the other 2 are better.

    I will check that group out. The wife is on a Facebook group for Ontario. Maybe I should make a SIDE X EACH FB page. As much as I would like to avoid FB haha. Mic ain't to bad. But it's clipping a bit being so close to my mouth in the helmet. Talking normal sounds good. But when I get up in speed I feel I have to speak louder and it distorts a bit. Will have to get that dialed in!

    @@SideX_Each I'm in Renfrew County, but I have rode down near Kaladar a bunch. There's a bunch of tricks you can do to peg down a tent in winter. One I like to do is dig a hole in the snow lay a thick stick sideways tie off to it, bury it with more snow and pack it down. Always works

    Awesome video!! Waiting on mine to come in. Can’t wait to start overlanding. I notice you’re running a lot of trails, how are you managing the trail permits? I’ve got my property close to the heritage trail. EOTA, is it the same around Sharon lake? Or is there a pass that covers multi areas? Thanks again!

  • @SideX_Each

    @SideX_Each

    2 жыл бұрын

    Nice, what machine did you get? There are 2 main trail passes you need unfortunately, it's kind of rediculous. One is the EOTA pass, and the other is OFATV. There are even sections on the railbed that switch from one pass and then back to the other lol. It is getting better and they are slowly kind of merging some areas. If you look at the maps online, one map will end where the other begins and back again lol. Calabogie is another good example of that kind of thing...

    @@keithscabin Awesome! Nice machine. If I was going to replace my Sport, I would get the XTP for sure. I suggest downloading a couple apps to help you on your phone. Or even get a cheap dash mounted tablet like you see us use. One is called QuadOn and covers all of the OFATV, only $5/year for that one. And also Backroad Map Books, it's $3.49/month. But has private/crown land layers and pretty much every trail in existence. Points of interest, lakes, what fish are in what lake etc etc. Let me know if you have any questions. Also, if you use Facebook...join the group called Places to ATV/UTV Ontario. It's a large active group that will quickly answer any questions you have.

    It's kind of hard for me to say. Those tires are off of my Maverick X3 so they take quite a beating on that high horse power car. But in a Maverick Sport you should be able to get well over 5000 km I would say. Depends a lot on the driver and things like how much asphalt you run on. If you are easy on your equipment and don't run much pavement I'm sure you could exceed 5000 km by quite a bit! On my X3 I would smoke a rear set of Big Horns in about 2500km. Fronts would last about 5000 or so. Keep in mind I run a fair amount of pavement...

    Honestly, I could wash my Corvette in half the time and effort you put in foaming, blocking vents, blow drying, cleaning wheels, and towel drying. I have NOT put ceramic, wax, buffer, or anything on my paint and will never for the life of my car and my paint surface will look as good as yours in any amount of time. How you ask? Go to autozone, buy yourself a synthetic chamois for less than 15 dollars, it will last you the life beyond your Corvette. Then get some Simonize car wash detergent, along with a soft microfiber small towel. Fill the bucket with water and a couple of caps of the Simoniz soap. Never put anything on your paint surface ever as far as chemicals or sprays. Total waste. Wash with microfiber small towel rinsing towel in bucket occasionally. When done dry your paint surface in the sunlight, with the synthetic chamois. Wipe surface with chamois getting large amounts of water 1st. Then go back over detailing all paint surfaces. If the water dries on the surface no problem since any amount of pressure is applied with chamois, water spots will wipe right off. Never use pressure washers, never use wax and never apply anything using a buffer. Our clear coat is one third the thickness of a post it note, the more abrasiveness or towels being applied to the surface will result in diminishing the thickness of the clear coat. As far as the interior goes I'll just mention carpet for now, wipe out the flooring with a damp microfiber rag from your soap bucket. The rag will pick up as good as a vacuum. Try it. I will put my C8 with 18g miles against anyone's paint surface under the brightest sunlight, it's flawless. Rapid Blue by the way but it wouldn't matter even if it were black.
