The origin of this hornpipe appears to have been lost in the mist of time, however it has been connected with a now debunked Morris side, Hunter's Moon’ as well as Wild Hunt and from there the tune escaped to Box Hill Bedlam and thence to Black Swan Border and quite possibly down to the Isle of Wight. It’s used presently by Berkley Morris from California, USA.
