This was definitely a remarkable performance. I had high hopes for it, but it was even better than I imagined. Su's vocals are getting even better; all the singing she did during the hiatus has really paid off.

This is absolutely the most amazing demonstration of Suzuka's vocal talent. People would be hard-pressed to convince me that she's not one of the most talented (if not the most) vocalists there is. 🥰

According to MOA, recording of this song began over five years ago. YUI was also a member at that time. The three girls in the chorus wearing white capes that appear in the middle of the song may symbolize BABYMETAL at that time... The three girls' backs.... Makes me cry.... 😭.

It's so simple but so emotional song.....Even if we don't understand the language (there are the lyrics online) we can feel the melody and the melancholy of the song. If someone listens to the song and read simultaneously the lyrics most probably ll be full of emotions!!!!!

the scene with the three background singers in the white robes looked like a tribute to babymetal as it used to be. when this was first suggested to me by the algorithm, i thought that this would be a cover..when su-metal came into the picture i had tears in my eyes...

This clip is getting attraction for new reactors and hopefully this new side of BM will get many more new fans. Love this Piano version, last time we got a new version was "The One - Stairway To Living Legend", another beautiful ballad. The extra backing chorus dressed in white did a great a job, thou I'm not really sure who might be, maybe they're teasing the third new member? SU-METAL has performed the song for the third time for this piano version. 1. akatsuki- unfinished 2. no rain no rainbow-10 budokan (in the middle of the end of the song he plays the piano himself) and the last 3. Monochrome piano version. once again su-metal he sends me flying with his kirei multivocal sound. no longer kawaii but this is kirei. that I've seen from side to side.

I see piano version as: unfinished version, The One has had multiple full and half unfinished versions. So I count it as 4.

I also think so, I never seen an AD stuff in The First take, so I thought those choruses are Sakura gakuin girls. if they are three: Moa, Sakia, Suzuka, maybe.

Moa has her channel doubled (poss trebled). She's singing the lower line on the first and a harmonizer on the second at a (4th-5th?) above and a third at octave.

No, there were 3 additional singers in-studio. Seen only briefly in white and backs to the camera.

@@johnschultz7765 No. They aren't singing, only Moa. 40 years in my own studio, I know what doubling and layered vocals sound like. It's a simple and convenient thing to do and have done it many times. Actually did make a mistake tho in that there is no 4-5th above only the doubled channel with delay between for separation. One is her clean with an octave harmonic, the other has a filter and/or slight distortion at lower gain.

@@johnschultz7765 And where would that be? There's not one frame showing Moa not singing. Just because she is not shown, doesn't mean she isn't singing. So where are those frames? After years of watching these girls here and at concerts live (on the rail) and considering how Baymetal's production team works, Moa could be completely tracked (not likely in this vid, no lip sync seen unless Moa very good at it). They WILL NOT USE OTHER SINGERS, not even Momoko even tho she can sing. You should know this by now. Contractual requirements. It's the way things have been since Yui left the stage. Thankfully, her contract has evidently run out and hopefully Momoko will get to sing now. Anyway, it's either Moa all tracked or a stupid little $200 intelligent harmonizer (actually a software plug-in in Pro Tools) added to to her channel in the mix. I'm going for option "B". Occam's Razor.

@@TexasVeteranPatriot , From about 6:36 on (in this video), there are repetitions without Moa's "clean" vocal. You are correct, they don't actually show Moa not singing. What you say is plausible, It would not be the first time Amuse have used mime musicians. They certainly could have cut the clean feed to the master. In which case it seems more likely the harmonies were all backing track in the first place. And I am not convinced that they didn't add reverb to Su-’s voice for the final chorus and really punched it up for the last "waratte." BTW, I do have the understanding that The First Take is a Sony promotional channel. And as with all things marketing the only real rule is "don't get caught."

I absolutely love BABYMETAL and Su and Moa are so amazing. I just wish they could have been more relaxed and out of character for this. Like LiSa was in some of hers. Obviously the girls are very talented and sounded so beautiful, but I wanted to see them have a little more fun. See them smile and giggle before or after. They were stiff as a board in this. As told to be I am sure. I really wanted to see Su-metal and Moametal but then I wanted to see them turn into Suzuka Nakamoto and Moa Kikuchi after. With that said, this still made me tear up. The 3 girls in white was mysterious. BABYMETAL always keeping us guessing. 🤘🦊🤘
