As a lifetime Ohio State fan who has also been a Michigan fan since my retirement from the US Army with more time to watch games and video, I want to see more focus and recognition of your OFFENSIVE LINE, all the way across, the entire front 7, sometimes you even bring in an 8th one. This sort of throwback football is what I think separates Michigan from most other programs. Supremely conditioned and near perfect Offensive Line Play. It is important to look at the Offensive Line blocking this entire game and season. A very close look at the JJ McCarthy touchdown run shows defenders simply Blown Out by that Offensive Line, Oluwatami, Zinter, and then Keegan running in front of McCarthy and I kid you not, it seemed like the remaining defender saw Keegan running on the pull block and seemed to melt and get out of the way. McCarthy did run past him and hit the tacklers at the goal line, but was then also pushed right in by Keegan. I am a lifetime Ohio State fan, but I told fellow Buckeye fans for weeks that Michigan would win this game and that many Ohio State fans would be shocked. I posted a video of Tim Biakabatuka and the 1995 Game weeks ago and warned my friends that it would be similar or worse even if Blake Corum did not play. It amazes me that 90 percent of sportscasters did not see this coming. The Penn State game and others made it a dead giveaway. Ohio State coaches were pulling their hair out, Knowing that Corum would likely not play, they STILL overloaded the box against the run and even outnumbering the Michigan Offensive Line the Ohio State defenders were worn down quarter after quarter, until just before the end of the 3rd quarter not another pass was ever attempted by Michigan!!! The wear down was in, and then the perfect runblocking ensued to take an Untouched Donavan Edwards to the house 75 and then 85 yards, UNTOUCHED as he passed through the holes made at the line of scrimmage!!! Even the receivers Blocked like linemen on those plays. The Victory Machine of the 2022 Michigan team is The OFFENSIVE LINE from tight end to tight end all 7 men. I watched them both all year, 2 great teams, but what Coach Harbaugh and your LINE coaches have done and your conditioning coaches is produce a highly Mobile Offensive Line, and a highly mobile Quarterback, the line is near perfect in Pass Block, but is Perfect in Run Blocking, very large, very lean, fast, and very strong. Having played college football line on both sides, when this type of line is coming at you over and over again, eventually a defense becomes exhausted and just cannot hang with them. This line reminds me of the 1995 Nebraska Cornhusker Offensive Line, which was the reason that team won the National Championship. The Michigan Offensive Line is the KEY to all Michigan victories this year, it gives TIME and Space for the skill position players to make yards and score. They are simply THE BEST PLAYERS ON THIS TEAM and magnify the play of the improving QB and Backs.

Harbaugh coaches from the inside out. He gets their hearts and minds in the right place and builds skills and schemes on top of that foundation. When he made the comment after the game about "There's a lot of happy guys in the locker room--they're giving thanks," that really said it all. And JJ wasn't dunking on anybody, or talking smack, he just said, "We've got a lot of work to do." When their heads and hearts are in a such a good place, the muscles, feet, hands, and eyes are very likely to also do good things.

When you commit all those mistakes, shoot yourself in the foot, and just play like crap you’ll lose against anybody. But when you play that way against your arch rival at HOME in the biggest game of the year and biggest rivalry in sports, forget it. Should’ve lost by at least 40 with that effort. Jim Harbaugh deserves the same amount of credit as the amount of scrutiny he faced for 5 years, he’s earned it and then some. Congrats on the W, Steve! I wouldn't be so sure. I get USC and UCLA are good teams, but I don't think they have had to play in a physically exhausting gauntlet like the Big Ten. I don't care what team you play, good or bad, the Big Ten is a conference of physical attrition. Rutgers and Maryland found out when they got here. Nebraska found that out too. They all thought that they'd own the Big Ten. To date? Not so much. Let's see if these California teams can take the beating from big corn-fed monster linebackers for 12 games a year. Let's see how they deal with Midwestern Football. Let's give those California teams a Big Ten welcome. I.e. Welcome to the pain train!!! Let's BOTH beat them.

The addition of USC and UCLA will change the landscape of the Big Ten dramatically, for the good. I said the day I heard the news that I’m a few years USC will be a dominant force in college football again because the move will significantly improve their recruiting. They could be the next Alabama. UCLA will not be far behind. As for the rest of the Big Ten it should improve recruiting for them as well, because the stature of the conference will rise. More money is going to roll into the conference. But you are correct. There will be a 3rd team on the same level as OSU and Michigan. It will be harder to win the conference, but that’s probably a good thing. But all three of them with good seasons will likely make the playoffs every year once expansion occurs b

@@markmesser9747 I imagine that Ohio, Michigan, Penn State and USC being those as they recruit the highest. The new hires at Wisconsin and Nebraska could open their programs up. Maryland seems like they're really close to pushing through, UCLA seems like a solid add kinda like an MSU program.

I’m like Steve as far as my “favorite and most remembered games. I want to add the yr of Desmond Howard throwing up the Heisman pose as another favorite. However, after ALL the yrs we Michigan faithful have had to endure the pain we have suffered, I think/feel/believe whole heartedly, this yrs VICTORY, in the Shoe, with ALL the different things around this game and each teams drama, IS MY FAVORITE. Like Steve and many others have said, Last yrs Victory was looked at as a “One Hit Wonder”, for lack of any other term. THIS yrs Victory is a trend. That now makes last yrs win look not so much as a “One Hit Wonder”. After the previous yrs of JH tenure, and how sooo many people, even some UM faithful, was wanting JHs head. After a large salary cut, having “THE” worst “half”season record in MI. FB history(2-4) in 2020, (even if it was the Covid yr), losing so many coaches on both sides and in so many yrs, almost losing(supposedly) JH to NFL, and still not getting any good recruiting season(s), I just want to know how those negative people feel/think NOW!!??? I see nothing but many many prosperous and winning seasons ahead for Michigan FB. Yes, Michigan IS back and we will BOSA and AGAIN. GO BLUE & HAIL TO THE VICTORS

As an OSU '96 graduate and fan who bleeds scarlet and grey, it was, of course, absolutely painful to have to watch what happened on Saturday. That said, the gnashing of teeth and calls for Ryan Day's replacement are...RIDICULOUS. Fellow Buckeye fans need to calm the f--- down right now. We are so very unaccustomed to this (i.e. spoiled for beating Michigan) and are over-the-top freaking out. Yes, this was a poorly coached, poorly executed game by the Buckeyes in a lot of respects. But let's keep some perspective. We had an incredible season and are *still* a top 5 ranked team in the country. There is still an outside chance that OSU might still make the CFP, for pete's sake! (Go Wildcats!) I was an undergrad at OSU during the Cooper era. We are NOWHERE near that abysmal right now. (I was at that HORRIBLE game in 1993 in Ann Arbor. I still have PTSD flashbacks.) OSU Football has some things to work on and Ryan Day has his work cut out for him, but the level of freakout currently going on is....completely irrational.

I can compare Dabo at Clemson to what Jim has done. He couldn’t beat Steve Spurrier and it took a long time to finally get there but they got there. Shows teams shouldn’t give up on coaches after a few years simply because they aren’t exactly elite. Takes time to build it the right way.

Steve, we are very similar in many ways. Moved to Michigan in '82. In a few years, Jim Harbaugh was my 1st fav Qb & the Wolverines were instigating a love for this sport that hasn't waned in 40+ years. I live in Waukee/Urbandale now and I know you can remember when Michigan players, in this Harbaugh era, would put themselves 1ST over THE TEAM. They wouldnt play in Bowl games etc. We need to talk about that change in the players' makeup and when that flipped. Maybe Mike Sainristril's message to Cade Mac clued us in on that change. Maybe when this run is over we will realize the bigger importance of Cade and Mike etc., Maybe when these guys are celebrating their 25th anniversary of a championship season, Cade will be held in very high esteem to his former teammates. I really wish he would stay because IF HE DOES his legendary status will be cemented for another 100 years of Michigan lore.

We haven't had this in a very long time... We have the piece we have been missing during this harbaugh era,. We have a QB that can go out and Win the game if he has too, not just be a game Manager!!! This is what makes t looks like when you have exceptional play from your QB position... This is what puts your team to the top tier of the college football world.. No longer can a team just say, we're gonna stack the box on Michigan and dare them to beat us in the air.. Because you have to respect it now...and that opens up the run even MORE!!! GO BLUE!!

And my buckeyes better go back to the lab. Scary thing is i believe ryan day ego won't allow him to see that 80% of the blame goes to our coaching staff and terrible play calling.

Minter was very smart with Marvin Harrison Jr. He had Stroud flustered by mixing double coverage and then disguising double coverage. Harrison was left open alot and Stroud missed it due to the mixture of these disguises. It was my first game to watch in the shoe, and I didn't like the outcome. I did enjoy the experience though. Congrats on the win UM fans and GO BUCKS!
