Utensil Organizer
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Knork makes a beautiful set of utensils, but the storage solutions they offer are terrible. Ikea has bamboo cutting boards which are a cheap source of wood for my own custom storage tray.

I want one so badly. Awesome make. Love the way the forks and spoons stack and the individual slots for the knives.
After watching the video advert i was still skeptical. But when i finally downloaded the plans kzread.infoUgkxZF0EMnrujZvqHhGkxiz559uIABJWR9TG i was very impressed. The whole plan was just as you said in the video. Thank you very much. I now have a large and valuable collection for my woodworks. This is great!
Dude, you're a serial killer with this stuff. The way you blend form and function is so great, and the way your videos are edited really shows us how you get from point A to B design-wise. Thanks for sharing your process with us.
That is the most complicated drawer organiser I've ever seen and I love it 😂
Ohhh the precise fit of the finished product, so satisfying! As is the lack of music by the way, love hearing the machines and such.
Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing. I LOVE this! Super cool design and I dig all the complex individual pieces that come together as a very elegant whole. 👍🏻
I was lost trying to figure out the design but once it all came together it made perfect sense. Looks great!
I've never before fallen in love with a cutlery shelf before. That was so satisfying to watch that be built.
This is the most organized and precise organizer I've ever seen! I love your job! Greetings!
Measured Workshop guy is a man of focus, sheer will. Great job man!
The organizer looks awesome with that bamboo texture.
Such a rewarding project on so many levels, kudos!
"THANKS IKEA!;) looks great! I really like the angled silverware holder/slots and good idea using cork for the knives! Have to give this one a try!👍🏻
I try not to look ahead or pay a lot of attention to thumbnail intros so there is some, “suspense” to, “the show”. This had me totally confused until I saw the finished product. Absolutely amazing workmanship and very well thought out. Thank you for sharing!
I just love listening to the sounds. Amazing work!
If your mind took time to make this bless his heart, just love him.
Very beautiful design, details are also handled very delicately. Too fond of the texture of bamboo
That was a lot of hard work. The meticulous detail is appreciated as are your skills with all those wonderful tools.
Chic, I will repair the kitchen, be sure to do something like that. You are well done that not only do, but also share their skills. I admire your ideas and skills.
This is by far the most over engineered utensils drawer i have ever seen. Love it.
The first time I watched this I was like this is unnecessarily complicated. But now I understand it and it totally makes a lot of sense.
My gosh this thing is beautiful! I love how the utensils look all together!
Love this design and it keeps things a lot more organized. Thank you for sharing
Complicated but beautiful. Will not make one like this ever, but I admire your skills
Genius. The mount design for the angles dividers in the middle. Absolute genius.
Hello there. good idea. Nice workmanship. I did the same last year. And I'm still using it. congratulations. You're doing a good job. Thank you for sharing............

A lot of wood workers are very passionate about their craft. Just as musicians are passionate about the music they write and play. Everyones got their own thing that they're passionate about.
What amazed about is how everything was cut so precisely and fit so perfectly

HuffleMort yes if you have tools that work precisely, you too can have this grass drawer organizer.
Good ol' Howard butcher block conditioner! I use it for most of my turnings. Holds a good luster!
I respect your dedication to the art of total over-engineering - inspiring to watch
It was so cool in the end I was nearly brought to tears
I thought I had OCD with organization in my kitchen but now I can relax!
Pur luxury! Unpayable!! Sooo beautiful😍
What a masterpiece anyone would be proud to have that in their drawers. Wish we could buy them. Yes i know it defeats the object but this is true craftsmanship. Love it thank you for sharing.❤
I love it! I think I might try this one. Cool trick I learned for @7:13 is you can scoop that out really well with a plastic straw.
An absolute joy to watch. Two thumbs up from me. Great project and and the finish looked fantastic. Great video, thanks for sharing.
The love of wood shows. Great JOB.
Excellent workmanship - a lot of tools and work though love the design!
In my house, the first shot of the cutlery drawer would have been the 'after' shot. Beautiful work.
On my list of AWESOME projects. I'll make one of these, my wife demands one.
lots of respect man !! keep up with the good vids
Reminds me of my husband when he was started here with me Takes the time and has everything just perfect
Very beautiful design, the details are also handled with care. thanks for sharing👍👏👏
Nice job, great idea. Thanks for sharing.
Dude you are such an amazing artist. This is science. I am speechless.
Awesome! i need this coz the regular cutlery organisers will eventually jumble up everything overtime. Waste a lot of time picking up the right cutlery especially the tea spoons. This is pretty neat and doesn't mix up. Hope he could add in slots for pairs of chopsticks and fruits picks as well.
All the way from egypt, im telling you you are a great designer.
When you put those utensils away... oh baby! It gave my OCD shivers of delight. Do you find that the butter knives slide back because of their shape? Awesome build!

It annoyed my OCD. Who puts knives and spoons together? That is the least used cutlery combination!
Pretty nice project that mitred spline is a clever touch.

É show! Amei ver essse trabalho. I loved to see that art. 👏❤
Was totally expecting you to slide another next to it :) ... great build!
Rústico e delicado. Simplesmente incrível!
Great video! Couple things though, if you use a flat top blade in your table saw, you won't have that bird mouth pattern happening at the ends of your cuts, making it so that you don't need to gap fill your box joints. Also, it's way cheaper to simply buy bamboo panels from a timber dealer than three random cutting boards from Ikea...
Que detalle en toda la elaboración, te quedo genial.
You gave me a new kitchen's wish. Thank you))
Such an awesome piece of work only to be stuck away in a drawer! Nice work! As usual.... never ceases to impress! Thanks for sharing your work! I subscribe to about 150 different DIY type woodworking/maker type channels and yours in one of the top 3 I look forward to most. John Heisz, Matthias Wandel and Measured Workshop! Not necessarily in that order mind you! :)
You made it and we will buy it. Amazing
You are so creative, sir.

Que peça mais linda , que capricho .
Simply awesome neat and clean 🤞🤞 awesome job 🤞🤞🤞
Beautiful ,nice and clear! 👏👍😎
I've never been so confused as to what was being built in my life. Everythings seems unnecesarily overcomplicated. However.. I loved it. I felt like a beginner woodworker again, seeing how to build for the first time. Well Done.
I love the freehand! I wonder really if that would even be possible. And the finished product has so many nooks and crannies to collect dirt, who would want to eat with these utensils.

Steve Blanck it’s for storing clean utensils in a well kept kitchen Slobs have no need for this product as a flick of the wrist will suffice flinging utensils in a drawer haphazardly

Класс! Мне очень понравилась. Красивый. Спасибо вам. Вы золотые руки.
This is a great idea thank you😉
Súper, yo quiero, me encantó 😍😍
exelente trabajo prolijo y queda espacio en un cajon congratuletion
Ikea really was putting their customers to the test on this one
Step 1. Buy two cutting boards and glue them together. Step 2. Run them through a planer to reduce the size by half. I am no expert but there seemed to be a lot of wasted material in this project.

Yeah, it would have made more sense to have simply ripped one board in half.

The only way to save that wood would have been a bandsaw or a handsaw, and I'd be surprised if his bandsaw could resaw that much height. No offense to the maker, but it didn't look like he uses hand tools that much, so I doubt he felt comfortable ripping that with a handsaw. That being said, I do agree that it made me cringe. Granted, those cutting boards are only $10 each, but I have a serious aversion to wasting wood.

@Neil Peters While it's true that bamboo is technically a grass, it's still considered wood when laminated together like this. Pine is in no way more durable than bamboo. Bamboo has a Janka hardness of around 7000 newtons, most pines are around 2000 newtons. Pine is not cheaper either. Regardless of either of those fallacious claims, nobody was talking about using different materials. The discussion was around how much of the material he wasted. There was a suggestion that he should have simply "ripped" it, and my point is, there's no way to do that other than the two methods I mentioned, and the reasons why I think he didn't. So, I have no idea what you're on about...

Looks really awesome!😁
