Single coolest thing about this track is that Kate was approached to allow a sample from a previous recording of hers, but she thought that wouldn’t sound good & actually laid down the vocal in clear for the sample. Legend.

I'm 62 years old. When this song came out I was a young man, young enough to not worry about health and mortality. I had a great job and was newly married to a wonderful woman. Now--job worries, two bouts with cancer...it truly is great to be young. I still have the CD of this song that I bought in the early 90s. This song makes me remember what it was like to be young and happy. With a reason to dance.

Absolutely love that. I played a football (or "soccer" if you're American) Cup final this weekend and we walked out to this and it gave me chills, I lead my team out and before we walked out I turned to them over my shoulder and got them fired up. Walking out in front of a couple of hundred people max, not even a large crowd, and going on to win the cup was, in my mind at least, all thanks to this song. Its just such a vibe!

Some people forget the internet is a great source of information! 😂 "Contrary to rumours, the band were not sued by Kate Bush over the use of a sample from Bush's track "Cloudbusting" in the Utah Saints track "Something Good" - the sample was legally cleared before use. Additionally, Bush sold Utah Saints footage from the video of her original song."

I think a lot of people must be finding it too pricey so I can see the attraction of buying cheaper drinks in and having house parties instead, sadly a lot of the pubs are closing and it's been going that way for a while. I still got hauled out to clubs quite often up to the age of 40 and I still get to the pubs sometimes; I was at one with 3 friends on Friday evening.

The best club night out I've had in recent years was when I went to one we'd visited a number of times before and didn't realise for quite a while that it was gay night, and we're both straight. It was me who clocked it first, after at least half an hour, when I noticed a rainbow flag near one of the bars and a sign saying "Wednesgays" having had an inkling from spotting one or two examples of male-on-male and female-on-female amorousness. My friend had no idea at all when I told her. At first she was a bit shocked, but we had a great night there in the end. Everyone was all loved up and there none of the violence or aggravation or the kind of thing that put yortzandat above off, which you get in other places and can bring the night down. OK,one gentleman slapped my bum as he came out of the toilets but no harm done, and a girl in a costume half like she was in a gym not a club did a gesture splashing water in my eyes with a wink and a smile like a Cheshire cat as she emerged out of the ladies, all mischievious fun. We were all dancing and larking about together in big mixed groupages right up to closing time. It's still the only time I've been to a gay night but if they're like that (and a straight former girlfriend of mine used to go to a few) then I'd recommend it even for straight people.
