Always put the shot on goal and not at the Sweeper / keeper line. In a lot of situations you will still get a corner from one that's on goal near the corners

Rose, so glad you are on the team. Don't let MR take your team to a defeat. She is a strong player but needs to skip the rest until her playing days are over. --- Megan, coming from a coach, please just give 100% while you are on the field and just play the game and leave all the rest behind. I didn't care much for you and never saw you play until TUBI started playing all the old World cup games from 2016 and 19. The team could use your leadership and focus on the game, not the rest. You can get back to that when you're playing days are over. When I was watching Mia H days I was also taking my Advanced National Course and what I loved about those teams were when one scored , they all came charging together to celebrate. I wanted to be an assistant coach on that team. Now, more and more, after scoring you run away from your team and make them catch you. (Not just you) I hope you do win, you are a much better player than I was guessing before watching. Good luck, GO USA. I'm afraid if you don't show by example giving 100% and don't go whining over calls and looking like the player that should retire, you will lead the team to a defeat.

Best advice: work with a personal trainer to put on some muscle weight so you can be a stronger and more effective player. Your workout doesn't have to be just weight training. You can incorporate all sorts of training to become a well rounded professional athlete. For football skills, I recommend training with a real football trainer that can help you understand the game inside and out. Good luck!

😂 are you really giving her advice? She's one of the best women's soccer players on the planet. At best, don't give generic advice. She has trainers. I would encourage her to take shots with both legs at the right 90s from the top of the box. And then work with Thompson, Rodman, and Smith to do some crisscrossing movements nearing the box. It confuses defenders on who to pick up, thus allowing for easier closing goals. And maybe utilizing a chip shot. But to tell her to get a strength coach... Lol. She's got trainers. If they're not working on conditioning and running then that's on the Coaching staff. Oh, and while Michael Jordan could work with a strengthening trainer in the off season, he was a multi millionaire at the time. They don't pay the players enough in the NWSL. Let the federation pay for that.

@@catman518I guess you haven't been watching her the last 5 or more matches where she can't really go at defenders to cause much of a threat, or take a decent shot around the box even if she's wide open. She and Malory are very injury prone so that would make any player less confident and a bit hesitant to be more physical. Advice, just like you gave in your post, is free. Personal trainers don't have to be even if your name isn't Jordan. 😁✌️

@@justtester_9962 referees have been making crap calls this is why our players... most of them have been getting hurt. Let's see, Macario, Mewis, Smith, Sauerbrunn, Rapinoe, Morgan, Purce, Williams etc etc. It's not just Pugh or Lavelle getting hurt. Pugh was taken out by an over zealous Irish player causing that ACL injury. Who knows if she was paid off to do it by some group like England, which is a theory an opinion. Who knows if that's why Houston is retaliating against the Irish coach... Another theory an opinion. Rose probably had a minor injury. It's my opinion she stayed out, so some idiot didn't injure her in a regular NWSL game. She alters the game when she plays. As far as her going at players, I don't see what you're seeing, especially when you see how OL Reign is affected by her being out. She's not a primary scorer, she's a facilitator. She makes other players look good. And yeah, every now and then she'll whiff a shot on goal. But I've also watched her where she flips a switch inside her and then comes at defenders. It's not her fault when she sends a ball and Morgan, Rapinoe and Smith muck it up. 2 other things to consider... The players are older now... Going 90 minutes is tough. As the game goes on and more and more games are played they will be tired. And the second thing is that the female anatomy is prone to certain injuries at certain times of the month. It's been scientifically proven how the menstrual cycle impacts the tendons etc. Finally, many people counted Rose out. Ellis believed in her. 2015 was Carli's Cup. 2019 I feel was Rose's Cup. Perhaps, this will be Smith's Cup. But make no mistake about it, Rose is needed out there. She might not muscle people like Horan or Ertz. She might not have the height of Cook or the defensive prowess of Girma, but no one in the Mid can do what she does. Maybe Demelo will be the added flavor. But come 1v1 Rose is hard to match. The only team that hinders her... Spain. But they're notorious 1v1 players. A possession team. But where they will be frustrated is our speed. I don't know if their team's back line can handle Thompson, Williams, and Smith coming at them. Add Rodman, Dunn, and Lavelle to the Mid with maybe Sanchez or Ertz bringing up the rear and they'll be back peddling all game. One thing I've learned about free advice is that it can be costly if it's bad advice. Adding muscle can give one strength and speed, but it can also hinder movement. Press and Heath are both probably more muscular than Lavelle, but they, too, have been injured. Yet, Press was one of fastest on the pitch. It happens. Lavelle is a sleek player. Anyway, she'll be fine. And I'm excited to see her play. Go Rose!

@@catman518 someone must have a very wicked mind to even dare to think that a footballer is paid to get a colleague injured... at an international friendly 🤯🤯 Injuries are inherent to contact sports such as football, and unfortunately they can happen to any player. Besides, the Irish players seem to be quite physical themselves.

@@sandrapatriciaoriguarios4589 and I'm confused by your statement... Paid to get a colleague injured. It was an Irish player that injured our American player. It benefits teams like England and France that Mal Pugh is out, not our team. She's a scoring machine. Now players like Thompson, Rodman and Williams will have to fill that void. We'll see if they can.
