I have no words to express my feelings after listening to Ustad shahid parvez ji. Raag Aahir bhairav itself a beautiful raaga and when shahid parvez ji plays, the whole emotion of that raaga comes across very beautifully. god bless him

its not the sound coming from instruments its the imotions coming out from soul and soul is cheering up blooming up indulged in environment

The tonal quality of the sitar here is just beyond perfect. No other sitar sounds like it. Clarity, gravitas, weight, everything. This great sitarist is the greatest engineer of his own instrument. He maintains it to bring out its full potential. Look at the sound of the chikaris, like perfectly tuned church bells. And the laykari!! And as usual, SP's amazing taankari!!! Best Ahir Bhairav to date. And Subhajyotiguha's tabla was made for Shahid Parvez. Great performance by him too!

Wah Ustadji...this is divine music, sounds of nature and crows..this is the beauty of our music, connected with and coming from the Universe

It is true that any rag is better expressed in alaap and jod. Gat and fast laykari alongwith tabla shows the skill Tayyaari of the artist and it is for common listeners.More or less it is same expression for every rag....So you feel loosing the feel of Ahirbhairav.

This minor noise was and is always present in live Winter programs and the holy anger of a fan towards "Bloody" everyone cannot distinguish dog from crow. Sycophancy has it's limit. Whatever disturbance was there should be credited to the high pitched tabla beating of Subhajyoti Guha. Unnecessary clappings from Uttarpara were much less than the great Dover. Ustadji played the morning raga of his life but I fully agree that the moment tabla entered the serenity of Ahir Bhairav was lost. The sound was like that of people jogging in the morning roads with sneakers on. Everyone playing tabla now-a-days has beautiful hair like Zakirsaab or Kumarbabu or Ghateji but not their fingers. It happens several times with Ustad Shahid Pervez only that he agrees to play with any and every rookie tabla and the great music is spoilt. Anyone wanting to enjoy Ahir Bhairav in instrument is recommended to hear 35 min performance of Ustad VK and IK brothers long back.

The powers of concentration of USP are remarkable. The noise of the crows didn't seem to bother him. Beautiful music !

these r uploaded music and you tube don't pay one poisa to uploader or artists. It is quite unethical to earn a profit by inserting adverts in between the recital. I am a paid subscriber. But don't get any relief. Only slightly better sound at 256 Kbps

I agree the people talking over hi in the background ruin this recording. They have no class at all.

In every Indian classical music concert it should be mandatory to stay quiet just like a tennis match. If one can't, should be thrown out....!
