There is a Telugu song meghama, dehama, sung by Dr.s.janaki, from the movie Manchu pallaki, which is a replica of the tune of this gazal. Music composer of the Telugu version is Rajan-Nagendra. Vamshi is the director of the movie. Suhasini is the heroine and chiranjivi is the hero.

Mian sahab ka aur ghulam ali sahab ka 7-8saal ka hi fark hoga shayad umar ka
*So Jagjit stole this tune from Ghulam Ali to sing Tum nahi Gham nahi sharaab nahi.*
