BGAK went to see the Director of Lahore music station, he sat outside of his office and the peon went to inform the director that Khan sb was here to see him and he , " us mirasi ko bhar bhete rehn do. Upon hearing that he decided to leave fir India. I as a Pakistani , I am glad that he did.

Yes the original bandish composed by Ustad Allah Diya Mehrbaan in praise of his mentor and Patiala founder "Kernail" Ustad Fateh Ali Khan has the words "Arjun ji ky baan". Ustad-e-Muhtaram Fateh Ali Khan Sb has sung this bandish many times using the authentic bols in front of Pakistani, Indian and Afghani audience alike. It is nonsensical to say that he was "under some mazhabi dubao". These legendary artists do not need to prove anything to the public. They are above such petty matters!

No, that Fateh Ali Khan is different. He was a qawaal from qawaal bachche gharana Delhi which traces its lineage from Ustad Amir Khusrau. This is Fateh Ali Khan of Patiala Gharana, however, the Fateh Ali Khan that is being praised in this bandish is different & considered to be the founder of Patiala Gharana. He and is brother were called Alia Fatu a.k.a Jarnail Karnail, out of which Fateh Ali Khan was called Taan Kaptan.

No not at all. Alla diya khan that fateh ali khan sab mentioned was a disciple of patyala ghrana. On the other hand,ustad allah diya khan sab of jaipur is another giant and founder of alla diya gaayki of jaipur!

Interesting, the last line of the Adana bandish is "Jaise Teer Ka Maar a Maar" but ustadji has sung the same bandish with the last line as "Jaise Arjunji Ke Baan" in part 2 of his basant bahar concert, also available on youtube. Maybe he modified the lyrics as a PR stunt for a predominantly hindu audience?
