A true classic! The second gat captures the delightful pain of longing. Samta Prasad ji's tabla is out of this world.Wish Khan sahib had continued playing along these lines. Something genuine-such as we hear here-- was lost after the late 1980s. Style overtook everything else. This recording ensures him immortality.

Hundred Salutes to Pt Shamtaji...

This is a prime example of how to play tabla , magnifying and not spoiling(by bartan pitana), the brilliant sarod of Ustad AAK. Panditji has no self highlighting problem.A total amalgamation elevates the performance to a higher level.

My all time #favourite Sarod wadak Ustad Amjad ali khan..amazing Raag ..:)

Sarod is an instrument that hits you right between the eyes..and you're left wondering what struck you

Pt Santa prasad was more famous as GUDAI MAHARAJ.He was a legend in his lifetime.

Sarod is like Kisore Kumar bold voice and Sitar is like Md Rafi voice soft But both are Nice and Beautiful, this is my way of comparison.
