I haven’t watched Spartan’s video, but I disagree with that assessment. In terms of accuracy, the guns feel the same between both games. Obviously we have nerfed alpha specs on the ship in Legends, but that’s understandable given we have ways to buff the alpha that just don’t exist on PC. And then it got a reload buff to boot. But in my opinion the “soul” of the ship, for lack of a better term, was not lost in translation, and I think I’ve played Vermont extensively enough on PC to have a good idea of it.

Z-52 is going to be an absolute beast...stealth sonar will make it a really powerful DD hunter

I plan to look into that next, but I don’t think I value the sonar gimmick as much as the entire Legends community seems to.

The Colombo is probably a lot stronger overall, so it would make sense to go for it first. Vermont is less of a good ship overall than it is a collection of really good guns on a rather undesirable hull.

If a Super Star Destroyer were a battleship....it would be the Vermont. I don't get the "brick" reference which I've heard on more than one channel. The term does not seem to fit its image, allure or capabilities but that's just me. I've avoided Gyrating Drillbits on just about everything because slower is not something that I find to be an acceptable trade off. I agree with the great & powerful Xarkun that for all of the Vermont's armor and damage output, it's still subject to being destroyed rather quickly because of those flat sides and it's limited top speed. As Xarkun pointed out with evidence in a recent video, positioning is very important and the Vermont is no exception.

Brick is how the PC community refers to it, so we Legends people are just stealing that. No idea where it comes from. And I wanted to take special care to point out what a punching bag this ship can be, because I know there’s this segment of the Legends community who believes that the American low tier battleships are “tanky.” They are not. They’re some of the least armored ships in the game. The entire Standard Battleship design isn’t tanky, and Vermont is in that tradition. It has better armor values to be sure, but the whole package…. Honestly it really just is a fairly terrible ship, but the guns are fantastic. That’s what carries the ship and makes it good. The guns alone.

Any idea why they decided to stagger the bureau project release dates

No idea. Maybe because there are only 3 new ships in the update and they didn’t want to release them all at once, so they staggered them across the update? Or maybe the idea was some people might be close to finishing a bureau projects, so give them a little extra time? Who knows? WG doesn’t really explain those kinds of decisions to us.

Is it just me or when they ported over ohio it was just juiced and now were back to the standard port overs?

I don’t think so. I don’t have the Ohio on PC, but I’ve seen it. Seems to me like it’s a fairly accurate translation of the ship. It has all the same gimmicks on PC, like the secondaries, quick cooldown heal, etc.

It seems as though the Vermont has paper armor the way she loses HP that quick. In any case, I think what the Vermont needs is not a buff nor a nerf....what she needs is a helping hand from a Submarine.....yes....I typed it and said it....
