The Argonaut is a beautiful ship and well armed to boot. That Dominion battleship is a beast though. Amazing battle as always, up there with the best.

Ahhh Star Trek Dominion War days on the PC. Got those vibes right away 😅. Your channel has really taken me back to the days I consider golden for me personally.

I love the design of the Argonaut but it definitely needs a refit. Pulse phasers and Quantum torpedoes including for the rapid fire launcher.

Whoa this design is bad ass. It also looks like a Battlestar Galactica in a way. LOL I love seeing the face palm clips. That's crazy you were so close to the blast of the Dominion ship that it pretty much collapsed most of your shields. I thought for sure you'd blow up after that lol. Yup the Dominion battleship is a ship definitely not to trifle with. I had a feeling they knew the Valiant was trailing them. They also probably picked up their probe and decided to bait them and make them believe they were vulnerable in a certain area. Makes me wonder if Weyoun was on that particular Battleship that day.

Oooof glad the Jemhadar didnt use them all the time lol we could have lost the war but not much ships tho maybe lol Ty for the video and LLAP!

Those photon top volleys are just amazing.

The shield generator was clearly on the other side of the ship, I was waiting for you to switch your subsystem target to something you could hit from the weakened top shields!

It looked like the Argonauts shields were recharging pretty quickly, it might be a good tactic to swoop in hammer away and then run while the shields recharge

I noticed the dominion battleship had a subsystem called "Ramming Deflectors". Perhaps a test next time? :)

This thing kind of reminds me of a Norway a bit with the profile and shape. I just had to go look up the Achilles class and I guess it sort of does too but the picture I saw had really small nacelles in comparison to the size of the saucer section whereas it's a more equal ratio with the Norway class.

Would love to see the Enterprise F go against the Dominion Battleship

Ooh, that's a beautiful ship. Too bad no quantums. I'd also suggest that you not sleep on targeting weapons. They seem to be fairly weak hardpoints(especially on big ships where you can stay in a blind spot), and every bit of firepower off of you increases your chances.

Fantastic torpedo volley, on the Argonaut. When the Dominion Battleship looked damaged, I thought it was over for it but it was closer than I thought 🖖

You can change the torpedo type by editing the hardpoint which is so fun to do.

The battleship's shields seem to be absorbing a realistic level of damage. Watching a D'deridex take damage makes it seem like a glass cannon.

Feel like it would take 1 Sovereign, 3 War Galaxy, 5 Nebulas, 3 Norways, and a full squadron of Defiants to take down that Dominion Battleship.

I always go for the impulse engines when doing over the Dominion big boys, not as much rear firepower and once you take them out the whole ship goes up.

Really cool ship.

Just for the heck of it, it would be cool to see how the Achilles would do against this battleship too. Prometheus vs Dom battleship would be boss as well

The Argonaut is such a beautiful design. Honestly, I think it's my #1 favorite non-canon design design, period, for a successor in the intrepid/akira department. While updated weapons would be sweet, I do love the locations of its hardpoints.... And do you just really can't beat these aesthetics. It's so gorgeous! If I could pay money for a model of this thing I absolutely would do it!

I think the Jem Hadar Dreadnaught is a little disappointing because for a ship its size it doesn't have weapon systems that merit the need for that size. It just as a ton of weapons one would find on any cruiser. Generally in naval architecture, a ship is the size it needs to be to carry the most powerful weapon system possible. The Cardassian Hutet is an example of how a huge ship could be kitted out: With giant weaponry capable of one-shotting other battleships. The weapons justify the size. To an extent the Neghvar also with its dual siege disruptors. A ship this big should have some sort of large weapon capable of wrecking anything smaller than a battleship with one shot to justify the resources necessary to build this monster. This ship with its moderate weapons is the equivalent of equipping the Battleship Yamato with a bunch of 6-inch cruiser guns instead of the 18-inch monsters they carried.

I totally agree with that. It should have some sort of Killer weapon. Massive Disruptor banks or some sort of over powered torpedo. It just seems like a Large ship with tiny weapons. That's a good comparison with the battleship guns. The Scimitar was much better equipped for its size.

i Vastly prefer Argonaught to the Achillies which didn't really feel right for the era. this almost feels like a upscaled Luna. the Dominion Battleship is a perfect opponent as it also heavily employs torpedoes

The Argonaut is a pretty ship. Well armed, sleek, elegant. The deflector bulge under the saucer reminds me of the Akira's deflector under the saucer. Worf doesn't have nightmares about Dominion battleships. His nightmares are about 2 things: Lwaxana Troi and Tribbles

I fricking love the Dominion Battleship. Have you ever featured the DB against the Borg assimilation Cube? Could be fun.

Seems like the optimum tactic with this ship would be to just flat spin and keep firing torpedoes constantly as it looks like they reload really fast.

Ok. So I have a bit of a dull question. Everyone associates larger ships with lower manoeuvrability and smaller ships higher manoeuvrability but would that actually make any difference at all in zero g and the vacuum of space? I didn’t think that’s how it worked. In my mind the biggest ship could be more nimble than a smaller one it just depends how much power they have and how the ships designed
