Thank you very much for your comprehensive video series. 💐🙏 watched each & every video, in my case i am old IMG(internship 2014-2015 batch) from SL came with J2 visa, planning to do Step1. will you please give some tips to improve my CV with your experience. 🙏 Are there any free of charge Observer-ships in USA? Oberverships should be related to what we are planning to do as post graduate?

hi, thank you for the kind words, observerships are the key, also if possible try to do some publications(write to universities near by- or ask friends to join their research etc.. ), usually it is possible to get free observerships through our local hospital, and local university or even at your own family physician clinic. there are some states and some hospitals does not allow IMG obs, so look widly, good luck.

also get high marks, even if an old grad ,high marks 250+ in step2 ck, he/she will stand out!!! i think that is your best weapon. since you are J2, you can apply to many programs, you will be good.:), when you clear out step exams - it is much easier to get observerships(unpaid ones)

    මම එක ගැන හරියට ම දන්නෙ නැහැ. පාසලෙන් කරුනු විමසා බලන්න් පුලුවන් වෙයි කියල හිතනවා.

How can a person who has completed a basic MD degree from a medical school in the United States of America and after a five-year surgical training program become a surgeon, return to work as a surgeon in Sri Lanka?

  • @dilu_billy

That person must obtain SLMC registration and then accepted in to Sri Lankan board of surgeons. There may be few examinations and may be he/she had to complete one year internship. I am not 100% certain- but if you ask SLMC they will know the correct path. I know Some specialists cannot practice directly( like general medicine)they have to complete the post graduate training again in Sri Lanka. Again these rules changes time to time. So whoever wants to come back must follow whatever rules at that time.
