A US Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II performs a fast and loud aerobatic and hover demo at the KC Air Show 2023. It was super cool to see a 5th generation stealth fighter hover in place and even fly backward! The F-35B will replace the venerable AV-8B Harrier in the coming years.
This was footage from the Friday and Saturday shows. On Saturday due to the blistering midwest heat of 106 degrees, the aircraft could not do a 100% hover. I almost passed out on Saturday due to the heat so I called it Saturday night and drove home on Sunday instead.
